By the way, I think clubs who say they are rebuilding through the draft and say no to 'top ups' completely close themselves off. I agree that we need to go to the draft and build that way for the most part but keep your mind open.

in the last few years.. only 3 or 4 clubs have had a look in....

Synners I think the real issue here is that there are semi-complex issues that have workable solutions, but they're all getting filtered through the boys club and the minds of their idiot cronies and coming out the other side as impossible tasks. If you're listening to someone in AFL circles talk about the AFL environment, you need to take everything they say with a grain of salt; not because they don't know what's happening, but because it really is like watching children play adults in terms of the big picture moves. That's the truth of it.

The goal for us is to stop shooting ourselves in the foot, look at what other clubs are doing well, discover why from a management perspective, and acquire our own talent to perform the task rather than chucking cash at the problem. I think we've started doing that.
