There is one thing we can absolutely count on this Saturday, the boys will come out all guns blazing. Firstly its Essendon**, and we're usually pumped for our encounters with them. All the attention over our last two performances will still be ringing in their ears. Its at the MCG, and we have been known to play well there from time to time. Lastly, to put in a poor performance in front of a packed MCG after two losses to open the season, I just can't see it happening.

I'm pretty sure we won't be seeing any second half fade outs from the boys on Saturday. All things considered, this could be the game to turn our season around. To lose three on the trot will be bad, but to be mauled, humiliated and not even put in an effort will be unforgivable, and I just can't see that happening.

I'm going to tip a tight hard fought contest for four quarters, with the boys pinching a win by two goals.

Just an honest effort with the kids showing something will do me.

Does anyone know why Buckley is not getting a game right now?

Byrne, Walks & Army will bring run & desperation. Two things lacking.

Groin. Should play VFL in about 2 weeks. Presumably will need a few VFL games before being considered for AFL selection, so don't expect to see him before round 6 or 7.

So you're happy with Ellard and Army in the team? I'd rather see Buckley and Boekhurst in... But what do I know... :sly:

What did you personally think of Army's game vs Buckley's last weekend. No right or wrong answer of course, I'm just interested. I thought Army worked harder for longer and got the rewards.

I liked both and they should both be in the team.

Not that I was asked. *drops head*

We're rushing Walker back. Not sure it's the best thing for him. He'll be majorly underdone. A fair bit of desperation about that selection for mine.

The non-selection of Buckley is odd.

I would have liked them to persist with Tutt rather than bring in Armfield.

Cripps will probably be the Sub, but I would like to see him shoulder to shoulder with Jobe at the opening bounce. 10-15 minutes a quarter running against Jobe will be good for his development.

Does Hendo start forward or back?

Can't believe we drafted a 21 year old mature ready made player (with our first pick) who isn't even an emergency.......
Boekhorst plays vfl whilst Ellard, Curnow, Armfield and Carrazzo continue to deliver ordinary performances....
Mick complains about a lack of runners, believe Buckley would help that along with Boekhorst.....
Tutt gets one game then axed, pitty the same doesn't apply for others that get a free ride..
Typical carlton/Mick cracking team selections....

Great rebuild, WTF are Ellard and Army doing in the team :banghead:

Ellard remaining is pure madness. Is Buckley injured ?

Ellard played on Hurn and did his job

Happy Byrne gets his go. Looked very good in pre season.
Walker will play forward
Cripps in the middle just needs time

Not sure why Armfield is in. Another tagger/defensive forward who turns it over?

Interesting that BB is not close. Early days but not looking good.

I know Buckley has his weaknesses but so does most of our list. He does give us run and passion and we could use it.

Hopefully in the coming weeks we will see the introduction of BB, Graham, Buckley, Sheehan, Smith, Whiley, Jaksch, DVR into the side.

Should of omitted carrots & Curnow.

Whiley in who has tagged Heppell, Pendles, Ablett before.
Play Bell on Watson, crush his shoulder into the ground all day
