I do not usually post comments when feeling down after a poor loss, but am motivated to say something about tonights performance - or lack of.

At what I thought was the clubs lowest point in the early 2000's I paid for a few extra family memberships as I thought that good supporters should support their club through good times and bad times.

This year I have not renewed 8 different memberships that I usually pay for as I am not sure if I can continue to support the club when we display such inept performances on the field and do not appear to be doing anything about improving how we develop players and/or support players who need off field guidance.

Are we so poor at development of players that we just continue to give up on talented players who have ability but muck in their private lives? Maybe we should sack the development and support staff rather than the talented players........

Who have we recruited that are better than Betts, Garlett, Jacobs, etc? If we continue to recruit only squeaky clean players without any flare we are forever condemned to be second rate. Make the support staff earn their dollars by supporting talented players who are good footballers but might need some guidance on life skills. WTF are you employed for otherwise?

Couldn't bare to watch the whole game, shifting between league and A-League but ball through the middle appeared far too easy.

I know what is happening. Was calling it when they changed out Ratts (who i said at the time had had his turn and needed to go). THe same folk now going on about the big picture were those who told me that with Mick coaching the players will improve and we will be much better.

I personally would make the biggest call of them all and get about getting a superclub together. Carlton is pretty close to done. The timing of this downward spiral is terrible.

..a strong captain would get a player like Menzel to learn all the good habits, but already bad habits creeping into his game.. ..I wouldn't call yarran a core player either, too flakey.. ..the glimpse of steel in his game from late '13 has evaporated..

Maybe we should petition the AFL to pay our coach, throw millions of dollars our way and give us a priority pick.
There are clubs other than Melbourne that need assistance.

people who think MM is soley to blame for our performances is dillusional. Wouldnt matter who coached this bunch we are where we are cause the list is weak and MM has added to this yes but the 8+ years before has done more damage.

If we had Clarkson and Hinkly would we have this list?

..afl boys club won't let that happen, the club will escape the real heat.. ..coach will cop it all, heat may be on the club to do something about the coach, but not ever to actually change the club... ....maybe the odd few comments, but nothing sustained.. ..change the coach, sack some recruiters, all is better.. ..but the club will continue with the rot..
