Let the players choose

The next Postacoglou is out there

(...the Socceroos sought him out, Victory poached him, but only after Brisbane gave him a shot after a "process"...I know, I know.)

I'd buy 2 memberships.

He won't come to us anyway.

But seriously, who at our club would you trust to make the decision on our next coach.

Unless there's an absolute standout we may as well just stick with what we have until the right guy comes along.

Anyway. Stooie Doo for me.

There are many good candidates out there, such as Gavin Brown and Leigh Tudor.

The club must not pander to those fools who think only a big name or ex Carlton champion can get the job done.

Don't cave in!

Quote:
Hawks interim chief executive Jason Dunstall and his fellow coaching sub-committee faced stinging criticism for their performance in the coaching search, missing out on Terry Wallace and Rodney Eade and failing to get through to Mark Harvey.

"For us it was just a matter of keeping our nerve and staying committed to what we set out to do in the first place," Dunstall said.

"We're embarking on a youth policy and we want someone who can develop and teach and educate and nurture these people.

"We're not talking about a quick fix, this is about the club going forward and being set up for 2010."

Does anyone think Carlton can really keep its nerve?

History suggests we'll chase Leigh Matthews, Kevin Sheedy or Malcolm Blight.

or Barrassi ... or Norm Smith or ... hell as long as they once had a reputation. If they are dead ... even better ... they can't do any damage and don't have to take press conferences.
