fair observation Em. but i thought others were worse. i cant help but think he may be a little on the outside with the coaches, particularly after he was dropped last year when playing really well

Did anyone at the game note Cripps running patterns? He looked to be struggling at times, wondering if that was because he is still building a tank or if he had just run the miles.

Also interested how many miles Thomas did. Was.mentioned in the commentary yesterday he should almost play perm forward. Couldn't disagree more. Im hoping he'll be able to link up over the whole ground.

He kicked two Goals but only from 4 disposals for the entire game. This is very Poor, not to mention he missed a 20m kick for Goal. He has lots of potential but little to show for. My guess is that Mick will give him a chance as our third tall in the next few rounds but unless he can do something special, he will spend the rest of the year in the 2's.

So glad some-one else has finally raised this. His work without the ball is huge concern. If he keeps this up, he will need to average 6 goals a game to keep his spot. I was under the impression we will not accept this type of forward play. Shoot away!!!!!

I wonder if they have got it wrong - Jones as the third tall defender and Jaksch as the forward?

That forward line is a major worry we currently don't have one player up there that has kicked more tham 30 goals in a season.
I'm hoping like hell Walker returns as a forward because at the moment its looking like a choice between
The dud that can mark and can't kick
Or the dud that can kick but can't mark
Or the dud that cant get a kick or a mark

I would have thought Byrne was given a game in his place. Bucks early games were not great.

potentially add Jacksh to the forward line mix as well. Carlton now has a number of players that can play tall, forward or back. whether it works or not, only time will tell, but the options are there

It has a plethora of players that can play forward and back
But none of them are any good at being forwards

Loved the back-page image in the hun today. The instant they saw a "Juddy catching Selwood high" photo they probably all collectively wet their pants...

A little surprised that Jaksch hasn't been thrown forward yet but I guess he has plenty to look at up there currently but I wouldn't be surprised to see Henderson & Jaksch as our key focal points long term.

Interesting game yesterday. Early in that second qtr was the biggest concern to come out of the game for mine though I was happy with the way we fought back.

We haven't had the chance to play a full strength side to properly judge our bottom 5 players so to speak. I think when that does happen we will suprise a few teams. You just can't underestimate tge difference it will make having more experiance and class supporting less weak links, weak links that will play a lot better with that support to boot.

David King is a complete spanker, but that's not news to anyone.

He's the king of shrugging the tackle high, I'm glad that Judd made him earn it.

David King made one correct comment yesterday that was (paraphrasing) "when Selwood gets the ball you might as well just stand the mark".

How did Dochers fair yesterday? Haven't heard much about him. I thought he's been a bit slow to get going so far this preseason, here's hoping for an improved outing.

was at the ground, I'm worried about his disposal as he butchered it a few times. was playing mainly HB

It was a practise game with a few stars missing from our round 1 team: Gibbs Yarran Simpson
... and a couple of others who would make a world of difference: Kreuzer and Walker.

Not sure if we need Warnock, but Wood didnt nullify Simpson....if so, it would be a Warnock who is fit and in form. Ruck is an issue.

Jones will have a day out but if we can get 2 goals a game from him every game that would be a great help.

Casboult and Warnock are the enigmas, and I have to say I dont like the idea of Rowe or Watson as the relief ruckmen.

Cripps is still impressing me....and I bet the non believers too.
Byrne is worth believing in. Moves like Motley did imo.
Docherty played his best game thus far in 2015, so glad to see him with some form.

I thought Jaksch was a bit slow reacting but OK down back.

Carrazzo and Cripps were my best. Bell was good too. Judd did some good stuff too.

BB went missing.

I didnt take too much out of that game...now for Richmond.

On the bright side he scored with every kick. On the down side he missed one from 12m out. He looks like he could take a game apart one day the way he attacks it in the air. Hope it's soon though.
