..the krooz quote, did someone ask him if he might play??, I thought everyone knew that was zero possibility, probably zero chance for the first month..

Murphy had more touches than any other player out there today.

Of his hair.

Watto had 75% game time, so worked into the contest nicely. By comparison Jones had 80%, Everitt & Hendo had about 90% a piece.

Here's some other notable percentages:
Jamison 41%
Judd 57%
Murphy 63%
Carrazzo 72%
Thomas 72%
Menzel 79%
Tuohy 77%

AFL average is about 82% for midfielders and 92% for running forwards & defenders.

Wow, those percentage are very revealing.

Very revealing ..... percentages.

Take a look at the Geelong figures for their better and more senior players. It's quite the contrast.

Wow!

Nope.

Over 30 possessions? Link play good - he liberates the ball. So, really he's not a runner and spreader.
After getting caught crusing in the 3rd, there was 1 impressive burst around a contest in the last, but the ball didn't come to him.
Good game, 4 quarter performance.

Excellent game by Cripps. Another great game by Carrots and a good game from Bell. Menzel flashed in and out.

Henderson, Jones and Watson did not contribute enough. In my opinion Levi still the best option up forward ... mark the ball and handball it off straight away.

We looked a hell of a lot better when we used the corridor. Come on Madhouse ... embrace the corridor ... please.

Not a good look for our captain to have a 1 erection haircut ffs!!

We won't go forward with a captain like that.

we've got a lot of improvement in us as a group this season.

a bit of luck with health, and we could finish top 6.

I think Cripps has played himself into the round 1 team. I think he'll play a mixture of AFL & VFL in 2015, but I'd be a bit surprised if he doesn't line up against the Tigers after tonight.

We missed the run and quality ball use of Gibbs, Yarran & Simmo. They will be welcome additions come round 1.

Wood is a handy stop gap, but the sooner we can get Warnock fit & in form the better. I know I'm in the minority, but I think we're a better team when Warnock is playing well.

BB impressed early but was the invisible man for too much of the game. He might be a good choice for Sub early in the season?

Hopefully Jamo was just rested because he looks in good form and is important to our structure.

According to the twitter feed from the NB game Casboult sprayed his kicks all over the place, but kicked a goal from 50 m from the pocket. Wont be in the team for Rd1 - very concerning that he cant even handle the pressure at VFL level.

Was at the game. A bit disappointed with our defensive efforts when there was a turnover. At times Geelong cut through our half back area like a hot knife through butter and served the ball to the twin towers on a platter. So I think there is still an issues with the defensive pressure in our forward line and midfield.

Must say the Geelong twin towers will provide problems to many teams.

I don't think there would be a Carlton supporter not happy with that hitout.
Malthouse threw our big man around and had a good look. That's what these games are about!
Like what I saw from Cripps , Smith, Byrne, Dick.
Bit disappointed in some others but early yet. Judd & Carrots leading the pack again.
Need to mix it up a bit kicking into the forward line, little less bombing please but still much better than the 1st game and our movement and run has gone another notch.

Positives
Cripps took a couple of ripper contested marks as well -sorry to say to everyone it but looks like a Jobe Watson type to me
Bell
Byrne
Menzel
Thought Hendo moved better tonight
Murphy rusty at start came good
Slightly undermanned and cats had a very good team in tonight
Jaksch tried hard will improve
Carrazzo also good
Good that they kicked away a couple of times but we got back into the match
Thomas and Murphy both got game time
Not bad effort with Gibbs yarran big knockers Simpson casboult Kreuzer and walker not playing
A good hit out for last praccy match
Negatives
Watson and jones very inconsistent ordinary first couple of quarters
Beaten out of middle
Cats too many uncontested possessions
Bombing forward
Small crumbling forward non existent
Not enough run from defence

I'd be happier if if was a yard quicker.

He mentioned on the post match interview he's looking hard at how Josh kennedy (Swans) plays midfield.

Not a bad idea as neither of them are speedsters. Cripps needs to be constantly on the move an kick more.

That extra work Cripps did with the personal training in the off season is already showing.

Second week in a row that he's finished the game strongly.

agree totally, was quite surprised not to see him in the last couple of games. maybe he is playing in the nb's to learn some different roles, or maybe he is not on the plan for Mick. bit of a worry i think

does anyone have any insight into him missing?

I can not understand the love for watson on here. Absurd to rate him with jones and casboult. Put it this way does his nab cup form suggests he can kick accurately, lead to the right spots, move with agility?
