No doubts about that...
Players and most of the board right behind him.

Think if 0-5 after his recording breaking game I think he will retire

he's the type to kick and scream to the end, and not in a dignified manner (sook)

the only way he will leave is forced, regardless of how it's conveyed to the masses

I agree it would take something pretty bad to happen.

I think if we have a start like last year he will be gone though, unless we have some ridiculous injury problems. We don't have that, most of the list have had good pre-seasons, a pass mark would be 6-5 at half way.

If they're right behind him they'd logically re-sign him... ?

If we're ready to go for round 1, we're actually a good chance to go 7-3 as we have a pretty easy run. Need to have improved enough on last year's end of year form, however.

They will unless things go belly up

MM has obviously convinced the board that circumstances and personnel needed to change.

He's done that and now he will need to show some improvement.

It's a good pragmatic decision that's been well publicised for some time. Everyone knows where they stand.

Geelong, Sydney and one of the Pies & Dons.

It's not.

They have, since last year some time, said that MM will be coach and his position will be reviewed during this season.

Their commitment is to the current agreement.

I know forward-thinking hasn't been our strong suit, but my only hope (beyond obvious on-field improvement) is that some sort of plan is in place to prepare for when Mick has finally had enough (or gets sakced), because at the moment I can't see a potential senior-coach-in-waiting in the current group (Laidley doesn't count).

Ok, they're committed to be uncommitted.
