Heard on SEN today Andy Maher discussing with a caller a function that took place last night with Mick, SOS and Buttifant.

They said first half was questions from Panel and second half was from the audience.

Maher made reference to how direct the supporters were about asking about players and even asking SOS whether he is up to it now that he doesnt have a list of first round picks....

Did anyone go? Interested to hear the Q&A!

i was there, the person in the audience did ask sos that exact question basically saying that his job wasn't hard that he had all first rounders to pick from where as at Carlton we could have pick eg 12 then 29 and how he will go with indentifying talent at later picks.
Sos basically said that he works with the whole recruiting team and it's not a 1 man job. I kind of felt sorry for him.

A couple of other things mentioned on the night was:
Kruezer - Buttifant said they are taking a careful approach and will most likely see him R5
Walker - Around R1-2

Sounds like a well publicised event.

I want to know more please.

JPS????

Kreuzer round 5...... mmmmmm.......maybe what I've heard is right....and that is not something I want to go into other than the club hopes he's back to his best. Hopes!

From what I see Kreuzer is confident of a quick return and having a great season with a good preseason under his belt. Looks like he's not coming back in round 1.

is was an invitation to members from the captain club i think...Not really sure as I was a tag along.

They were saying that they want to take the conservative approach with Kruez as he is very important to us.

Said he is the ultimate professional and is doing everything possible with recovery to get back ASAP.

They also said that this group of guys are sick & tired of losing which is something that the group in the past few seasons didn't really have.
One of the reasons as to why Juddy continued to play on this year. Buttifant also said that Juddys body is in fantastic shape and could easily go on for a couple more seasons if he chooses to. - Again it depends on the year the team has before Juddy makes the call. - Maybe not his last year!!!

Pick 12? That is being optimistic.

Not the kind of vibe I'd be expecting from a "favourite son" returning to the club.

I want to be inspired by the guy not leaving the event feeling sorry for him.

My invite must have been lost in the mail. Looking at the positives though, my wife was invited yesterday to to junior clinic coming up.
My daughter is a bit upset though that she didn't get a look in.

The Season Launch luncheon is next week, so this was likely high-level coterie or corporate.

EDIT: Or media-only

The premium CC membership just means that you don't sit on level 1. I guess liking a view from ground level precludes one from being interested in the Club.
