Morning Rhino,
Thanks for the feedback, and the thoughts. I’ll have a closer look at those lyrics, and have a talk with the Comms team. Nothing is set in stone yet, but what is true, is that we are striving hard to make a better connection with supporters, and indeed all Carlton people.
Hopefully your own relationship with us improves along the way as a result!

Not sure if it's been posted but this may just be the club choice for us...

I've always wondered why nobody ever came along to each game with a trumpet blowing the da da da da da tune to kick off the "we are the navy blues" . I may be wrong but I think we would be the only club with this opportunity. If done right it could be used similar to blowing the bugle sounding the arrival of the cavalry. Watched to many westerns I guess!!! Could be a good way to spur the lads on during the momentum swings late in the 4th quarter.!!! Could also make the scene more festive, may induce the signing of more supporters to become members.

I like this idea...Richmond have tribal drummers all around the boundary before they come on and even though my son and I call them the Drums Of Doom, they do create a good atmosphere.

Imagine 20 or so trumpet players all around the boundary signalling Carlton's arrival onto the field...

Great idea...but only one or if more than one please ensure the timing is spot on.

Trumpet...goes.... da dada da da
Crowd....sing...we are the navy blues/ we are the old dark navy blues / we're the team that never lets you down
Crowd yell Carlton followed by the traditional clap clap clap.

We need to do something spirited, original and simple.

I saw a group at the Retreat on Sydney Rd once who were break dancing strippers and this one bird did a headspin whilst running an angle grinder on her metal crotchplate.

That could work.

Never heard a stripper quote anything personally.
