Taking the kids as well.

Be nice to see the jumper in action.
A cracking opportunity to assess our youngsters against good opposition.

I agree with Cimm, Adam Simpson is on very shaky ground and he dare not deliver anything less than a big win to the rabid west coast fans. Picking their best side against what was always going to be an undermanned Blues outfit reeks of desperation.
If we were to pinch this, or even come close it will be very ugly for him.

Can't wait.

Won't be able to go due to work commitments. Look forward to watching the new and younger players and hope they show a bit.

Have to rely on TC for all information. Really appreciate any reviews posted by those who watch the game...
Very excited - don't expect a win but really keen to see how our picks go. My feeling is that we have recruited/traded well the past 2 seasons - but it would be good to see if that gets confirmed....
Be good to see if Watson can perform against tougher opposition.

..yes I am pretty confident about 2015....although I did say the same thing about 2014, and 2013 and especially 2012 and 2011 and maybe 2010

the only critical training insider information that I can confirm for you Bluey, is that it appears Cripps has shrunk to under 7 feet tall over the pre season. Some say that Cripps is as short as Casboult now

I reckon they have a lot of potential.

Agree.

Dick would have been stiff had he not been selected.

1st game of the year, trip to Perth, happy to be conservative and take a young team.
Will be fantastic to see the new faces play on Friday night Footy.

On the surface of it, I think it's a shame that they didn't give one of the more 'junior' coaches a chance to take the reigns, but maybe they thought it would sound better to name Wiley given the predictable backlash to Mick not coaching.

Maybe Wiley will be running them through their paces and letting them take control of the coaches box at times, who knows.

Anyway interesting to read the comments about Adam Simpson,
but surely winning one NAB cup game doesn't make any difference..

If people turn on him for that, then the chances are they'd already made up their minds anyway.

Hope we show them up anyway

Blues by 2 goals

I hope we dont get smashed. Despite us not really taking this seriously as we are not including a host of our first choice players, I dont want the players to get used to losing. Its also not a good vibe for the fans and the prospective members we are trying to attact.

Wish we rotated these players, rather than not play them all at once.

We will get belted tonight. Too mang new faces trying to put their hands up, teamwork will suffer.

So Johnson and Walsh in for Carrazzo and Everitt; that's a total of 10 names missing who would be in the frame for selection in the season proper, 8 of them automatic selections IMO, so we're missing over a third of our team.

Should be an interesting test of our depth, particularly our talls and through the true midfield positions. Big chance for Graham, Yarran, Cripps, Bell, Buckley, Watson, Boekhorst, Smith and Byrne to show their wares either in other roles or as starting 18 types. There would also appear to be 3 rookie elevations up for grabs at present, so plenty for Byrne, Johnson & Gowers to compete for there alongside Sheehan & Wood.

I'll be interested in seeing what Jaksch, Tutt, Dick, Armfield and Viojo-Rainbow can produce, as well as seeing if Walsh and Fields have some quality about them.

For the opposition I'll be very keen to see how Yeo, Brown, Lamb and Lucas are tracking.

Is that official jimmae re Everitt and Carrazzo out?

I know for a fact Carrots isn't playing and the HUN had Everitt in their "missing" list today, too.

Friday night. Beers and pool at the local while watching our full list of new "recurits" show us what they've got.

Doesn't get much better.
