It would be nice if Casboult Watson and Jones can work up forward
It will enable probably the potentially best CHB in the comp to shift back in Henderson

Nah...Jamison, Rowe and Janksch have that area covered. :donk:
What it's going to do is pressure Cassy & golden boy to perform. Let's hope Watson keeps pushing and therefore gets 1st go along Hendo & Cassy.

Apparently Tom Fields played on Watson for the most part. He kicked 6 straight.

That would explain some of it but the hit out will be good for Watto's confidence. Keen to know what those thought who were able to make to the event.

I left at 3/4 time but up until then Cripps was very impressive. His ability to withstand heavy tackles and still get the ball away to advantage is outstanding.

I like the spark from Tutt early. Real pace and balance.

Irish lad Byrne looked rather silky at times. Has a big future the way he is coming along.

Bell is going to be a handful for plenty this year. Big strong, qucik and huge tank. His don't argue 'stright arm is going to knock a few flat.

Daisy is in for a big year.

Like to foot smarts from Nic Graham. Works hard and knows where to get a possession.

Viojo showed his normal lethal left boot.

And big Watto might give us the long kicking target we need. Like Cloke, anywhere from 55 is in range.

Jones got better the longer the game went.

Boekhorst showed some real toe and the ability to be a line breaker at top pace. His 4 bounce dodge, weave and perfect kick was just what we are after.

As a game it knocked the cobwebs out.

Regards Cazzesman

..watto is less like cloke, more like rev.. ..longrange and accurate.... ..cloke is a slightly better kick than bolt.. ..cloke is good up and ground, but not the type I want as the regular kick for goal..

So funny, not sure what quarter. Buckley had a couple of sprays at goal from the boundary line.

Hendo yelled out, 'bucks, square the flowering ball'.

I was impressed with, smith, boekhorst, jones, watto, Cripps.

I reckon young Billy Gowers in a few passages showed some signs as well.

Jaksch has a kick on him doesn't he?

Too many guys with leg strappings at the Guernsey presentation for my liking.

Reads like Blue team wouldn't have much aside from key contributors and that proved to the be the case, especially with only one recognised ruckman between two teams (why not put Casboult in Blue??).

I'll have a go.
Great weather, ground a picture, decent crowd. Fantastic to have some footy back.
Overall, as Cazz said, blew out cobwebs.
Key thing for me was no-one looked liked they won't be a footballer- been years since we could say that. Lots of NB guys - Murray looked good. Some handy blokes missing who probably in best side: Yaz, Gibbs, (K of course), Doc, Walker and ? so we definitely have more depth.
Reasonable intensity, plenty of run despite fatigue, reasonable skills. Game styles used all parts of the ground (including corridor!) and short and long kicks.
I might wimp out and let others do individual player analysis (40 of them!). I thought everyone showed something at different times. Recruits did what they were recruited to do (Jones, Tutt, BB) and we have options.
Judd starred, Cripps got better and better, Graham used it well.
Happy to try to respond to specific questions about players.

Thanks Big G. Out of the young guys we picked up, who looks to have the best fitness base that could see them play senior footy straight up?
