Finished

Didn't finish James Tird.

Would love Malthouse to publicly call on Hird to explain the process he went through with Shane Charters to fix his foot issues.

"We don't want to be losing young players to this sort of thing... for the good of the game...clearly James has expertise in this area..."[/i]

Someone with a public profile should come out and say it.

The decision not to draft a young ruckman sure is looking inspired right now...

I wouldn't be setting up the curtain yet. Is it the navicular bone? Is it the same bone that was damaged last time?
Hopefully it's a small setback and not related to the previous injury at all.

The bonus is he has a solid couple of months fitness behind him. 3-4 weeks shouldn't set him too far behind. Whatever the case, the bloke is well and truly due some good luck.

Yeah a late pick in the rookie draft would have been so great.
Would have been ready to go.

..according to media, different bone on the same foot as last time.. ..hopefully he comes good, plenty of blame rests on the club regarding how they used and abused him in 2012 and 2013..

Might have one day prepared us for the day that our "made of glass" ruck contingent broke down and had to retire early.

..if anything, i think this is even more of a reason to play him as first ruck when he is fit.. ..we may not know how many games he has in him.. ..best get the most out of him that we can, you won't eke out more games by playing him as a forward, relief ruck..
