..hopefully we play him as a small forward that can get a run as high half forward..

..i prefer him as a roaming marking target.. ..a strong contested mark is more valuable as the go to target out of defense.. ..and his field kicking is better than goal kicking..

I have really liked the look of Whiley when I have seen him at training. 2 years in the system. And before the naysayers get wound up, yes I am aware he comes from GWS and could only manage 2 games up there.

I just like the way he carries himself in regards to his enthusiasm. He hits he ball hard and has reasonably good skills. Can see him slotting in along side Buckley and running through the midfield.

I think this could be the year that we see Waite finally get his body and head right and be that key forward target we've been screaming for.

I'd love for Hendo to stay injury free and establish himself in the top half dozen key forwards in the comp.

Ha yes... That would be right- along with Jeff getting a defensive game and robbo getting some self discipline....

With 18 of our 46 players having 10 games or less there are lots of opportunities for sure!

Players to take the next step up:

A Grader status: .....Kreuzer ....Everitt .....Yarran...Thomas .... Walker
B Grader status: .....Buckley ....Docherty...Jones... Rowe ... Menzel
Arrived in 2015: ......Cripps ......Whiley...Boekhurst (to have a Camoporeale like 1st year)...Casboult
Surprise packet: Clemalenko

Really promising list.
We werent that far off when our game plan clicked regardless of the many injuries at the time, let alone the 23 disrupted preseason due to ops.
I think there's a fire in the belly...and the expectations are high with a focus on PROCESS.

..agree, if fit I actually think he can take 'the next step' in regards to blues form.. ....with a united team, first class developed kids around him, a united team mentally and physically driven with team work and hunger.. ..as good as he has been with us, he carried us.. ..lighten that burden, freshen him up, and let him GO!!..
