My guess; the club did a bit of research after the Essendon* loss, followed up a few leads into their supplements program probably hoping to emulate their results.

Then realised "holy @#$%&! what the hell have these guys got themselves into" and immediately stopped the so called 'black ops' raid. Probably torched the evidence too, which is a shame.

If we were dumb enough to go further (which I'm positive we weren't), let us burn with them.
