Neither should have ratten. sent us back another ten years.
This obsession about an-ex Carlton great surely cannot be good.
Unless of course you aren't a true blue bagger.

why bother?
ratten took us backwards from consistent spoons to consistent finalists
I hope micky takes us backwards also
Well maybe next year if the planets align or he can hustle a couple more years at the helm.
he will allegedly change his embarrassing demeanour during press conferences to appease the boss (great attitude adjustment at the right time), maybe he can change his dated game plan to win a extension (anything is possible)
with our easier draw at the right time everything seems to be stacked in mickys favour (is there anyone else to blame, stay tuned more after the break)

Mick still has 3 (and a half) seasons to eke out one more finals win to equal Ratten's achievement of 2 wins in 5 and a half seasons.
Par for Mick: One more finals win, with 3 seasons to achieve it.
Factor in a bit of consideration for the fact that we were on the bottom of the ladder when Ratts took over,
but still,
I don't think Mick is quaking in his boots about the lofty standards his predecessor set.
Finals Losses are irrelevant.
I don't give a stuff about choking against the Swans and Lions in the first round - may as well not be there at all.
So if you think Mick is a mediocre overrated overpaid hack,
what does that make Ratten???
A 'value for money' Corolla that can't drive more than 50kms without needing RACV?
