Ladies and gentlemen, as a direct result of my little online banking irregularity, a responsible Carlton supporter needs to step up to the plate and balance the books. The payment has already gone through, no use crying over $2.32.

Perhaps a TC supporter can contribute $47.68 or $97.68 (or multiples of $50 thereof)?

It’s a long story. I was watching the 1979 Grand Final replay today and it seems as though Harmes’s tap in and the number 1979 subconsciously influenced my online banking activities

Initially I was planning to contribute $82.53 but accidentally and subliminally added a further $19.79 bringing the total to $102.32. A perfectly honest mistake to make after having a few beers on a Tuesday evening.

As punishment I will not be posting any more comments and not drinking any beer for the rest of the year.

Ideally supporters should continue contributing their nice $50 multiples to our new gun Kristian Jaksch, but they should keep in mind that the books will not be balanced – the $2.32 will float around until this trivial financial matter is rectified in a mature and grown up way.

Of course two supporters could form a partnership and contribute say $41.57 and $56.11 respectively. I really don’t care how it’s done, just balance the books.
