Try hards.

The original clubs wanted to Keep Jaksch, Whiley and Jones. Jaksch and Whiley were sought after by a number of clubs. I rate Jones as well.

Dick is unknown to me and Tutt - Well not sure how good he is going to be or whether we should bother going after him, but the bulldogs refuse to delist him as they want to keep him.

These are not delisted players except for Dick that we have signed.

We have managed to keep a first round and second round pick as well.

They have a strategy, not sure whether it will pay off but they are rebuilding the list now.

A few years ago, we would have pandered to Waite and Brock. And drafted Cooney etc. Now we are different.

Nah this is definitely a David Teague and Digby Morrell situation. I'm running a hot bath and bringing the razor blades with me.

I don't really think it's that important whether or not Tutt knows our other players - more critical that the recruitment and coaching staff does. And when it comes to that, I think everyone in the recruitment department knows Dick.....

Sydney. This is the first time in ages, where we actually seem to have a plan.

You think so
I cant see it .
It resembles 2003 - 2005 if you ask me .Recruiting a bunch of try hards that have been struggling to break through in teams below us.
I hope it works but you have to question how a team that is full of kids like GWS who were rotating players in and out of the side on a regular basis to get games into them and we grab 2 blokes who weren't part of that regular rotation

Hope it works and hope we finally see some improvements.
But right at this moment I can't see it.
But I have been wrong before

Chin up Sydney ... we're heading north in 2015 ... I know it.
(Whatever that's worth. )

Malthouse was brought to the club to get us in the top 4 because supposedly Ratten couldn't. We haven't looked like getting into the top 4 the last 2 years and we are now going backwards. If Malthouse doesn't at least make finals this year = GONE. Simple.

supposedly - and what does that mean - he was just about to?

Perhaps the fault lay with those running the club (Not Ratts and Not MM) who believed we were about to hit top 4 and win a flag by 2015.

Supposedly means that I'd say 80% plus of people on this site and the whole Football club thought we were top 4 material. Malthouse said that's what we were aiming for when he joined.

Obviously top 4 is what we were "aiming for". No, we're "aiming for" a 7th placed finish are we?

Malthouse knew the list wasn't up to it very soon over taking the reigns, and behind closed doors he was telling the Sticks brigade. They didn't want to listen and wanted everyone (including Malthouse) to talk up our chances. Hence the premiership window comment.

Now Sticks is gone, and the list is being rebuilt. I think Malthouse is the right man for the job, and I believe we will begin to climb the ladder again in 2015. We are a chance at the 8 if the ducks line up, but if we miss out on finals by a bit next year and yet show significant improvement my preference would be to let Malthouse continue with what he has started.

What should MM say - this is a [REDACTED] club led by idiots?
