From the B & F.....yes he is talking to supporters, but we are supporters, not idiots. I can't imagine anyone is excited. We have about the least impressive young list in the AFL and we have finished 13th. Tell us why we have been bad for so long and what we are doing about it, not more of the "everything is looking hunky dory" nonsense we get every year. I am sick of it. tell it like it is, not like we would like it to be. N0-one is listening to phony unsubstantiated optimism any more.

Well I wasn't.

Until now.

Thanks to the fact that you were.

@3AWSportsToday: Several AFL club presidents met yesterday to discuss the Essendon* situation.. Paul Little was invited but didn't attend

Sam McClure said Loguidice was one of them. Want this dealt with ASAP.

The process is cumbersome and demand for more games at MCG is high.
Wer're heading in the right direction, small steps forward will bring positive results.LoGiudice will need a few years before we see the full impact of the changes that will be implemented.
Ciao

Apparently there was a bit of a stakeholder engagement session at the club yesterday including select supporters etc.
According to the media, the board, administration, football department opened themselves up to feedback and constructive criticism.

Did anyone here attend or get any feedback on the exercise?

Heard Andy Maher jibbering on about it thismorning... didn't go into any detail about what was discussed with the privileged participants, sadly.

Embrassing for the club to even try and sell this as a win. Oh well, I'm used to us not making money these days.

And who or what makes one a "select supporter"?

I was prepared to give Mark a fair go but my gut feel tells me that we have another puppet at the helm. Not seeing much by way of listening to fans and making meaningful changes. We are a mile away from being anywhere near Hawthorn off the field so how can we possibly ever emulate them on the park?

However I suspect that the majority of people on here will reward the club with their $ and membership support next year regardless. Remember you get the club you deserve.

 Well that's not true!

The session was an idea by Steven Trigg because he's sensed (and he's right) a large disconnect between the club and its supporters - so it was pretty much a brainstorm strategic session to make sure the club is heading in the right direction - from a leadership and culture perspective to a branding perspective and where the improvement and focus will be in 2015 and beyond.

There will be greater feedback requested by the supporters - and you'll see some evidence of that in the next week (week and a bit). Better match day experiences and better communication. Can't go into too much more detail I'm afraid - suffice to say that the club is listening and trying and I'm confident that they'll get it right.
