I'm working on a formula for how long it takes Carlton to give up a lead.

T = GL * QL/10 * 3/OHF^2

where
T = time in minutes
GL = lead in goals
QL = quarter length in minutes
OHF = opposition hatred factor, between 1 (for, say, the Bulldogs or Lions) and 2 (for Essendon*)

e.g. for a 5-goal lead, a 30-minute quarter and Essendon*:

T = 5 * 30/10 * 3/2^2 = approx. 11-12 minutes

So today is pretty much par for the course.
