i think hinkley might just get his team over the line
he has not missed on any early picks ...

and only 1 injury......

hinkley needs 100% of his starting team to be playing or his plans go out the window.

reckon we will push ports full side minus one player because they will be off balance and hinkleys game style just wont be able to fire on all cylinders... but they would be a 55% chance of winning this one....

Rest Gibbs. Rest Yarran. Do whatever it takes to get our best team on the park for the game against the Bombers. To me, this will be treated like Grand Final day. We MUST beat the cheats!

As long as Port Adelaide get a lot more money than Carlton via AFL dividends and they don't have to pay back any "loans" I am happy.
The more we can all do as football supporters to help Port move up the ladder the better for the competition. We can all play our part. Well done Port. It is such a great story and it is exciting seeing a full Adelaide Oval at all their home matches.

Port's revenue is about 40 million with the recent Vlad hand out of 3 million per year for three years.
They still don't come near our annual revenue of 57 million.
And their football department spend 14 million - about 8 million dollars less than Carlton's.

Afl handouts for Port have been minimal since they entered the competition. The Afl has only stepped in once in a major way to give them 9 million in 3 years, and that was in 2012 when they got into big trouble on and off the field.

Port has managed 55,000 members though.

I hope that you aren't suggesting that Port suddenly sprang up the ladder in 2013 just because Vlad gave them 3 million dollars?

If we want to look at handouts and leg ups for any AFL team i think we all know which soft drink team we are talking back

Interesting statistics Mr S, where did you get them from, Andrew Bolt?

Why does Hinkley who is the reigning AFLCA coach of the year need 100% of his starting line up in order to implement his plans?

What percentage of the carlton line up does MM need to beat Melbourne, Lions, GWS etc?

You're setting up a straw man scenario for this weeks outcome.

If Port wins, it's because of their full and superior list and the pathetic mark Murphy and deranged Graham and lazy Touhey (and of course the loss of the 700k pocket specialist Daisy)

If the blues win its due to the genius of MM and the incompetence of Hinkley as well as the inclusion of Wood and Docherty.

Brilliant Mr S, brilliant.

Oh for flowers sake. Lets start a kickstarter to fund the great Australian Aspy Sci-Fi Romance Novel if it means he goes away.

I know he's been backing up Hughes and Rogers and the club and everyone "connected" for some time but give the guy a break.

He's essentially a volunteer!

Who are you...?

I hope there's plenty of lingering shots of Hinkley in the coach's box next week for Cret.

With luck Aldi will have tissues and hand lotion on special.

You look at these injuries and then collingwood's last night and it leads me to think the season is too long for how they play the game now. Injuries can also happen when players are mentally fatigued and don't react as well to contests.

It could be 17 games, play each other once each, and an extended post-season campaign. Lower teams playing for picks, top teams for premiership?

Agree with you there Mr S...

I know I was especially interested in Leppitch's performance when the lions beat us earlier this year.
As well as Cameron's when the Giants were too good for us.

They had full powerful lists as well Mr S. Couldnt stop Peperone or Zorko - too good

Remember ladies and gentlemen ONLY Kenneth Hinkley has a powerful list with NO injuries.

Under MM
Carlton win: MM genius, Wood, Docherty, Daisy, Everritt make the difference
Carlton lose: Murphys fault, no list, too many HBF's, Waite too lazy, shocking umpiriing

Under Ratten:
Carlton win: lucky Touhey played well, supreme list, underperforming, umpires gave us the win
Carlton lose: Rattens fault, low IQ, doesnt read enough text books, too much bacon and eggs before the game

:smoking:

Revisionist history cret

Under mm
Carlton win inherited a premiership side,
Carlton lose super duper coach, daisy 700k, goes round the boundary, players lost confidence, where's the development, judd2013=judd2008

Under ratten

Carlton win great game plan, all run forward of the ball, development of Joseph and Davies, Jordan Russell
Carlton lose injuries, improved us every year
