FWIW the poster on BF (who is almost always spot on) has said Judd playing on is a major boost to luring Boyd.
Know he hasn't had much game time this year but anyone seen the kid this year?
Obviously hasn't set the world on fire from limited opportunities - and nor should he first up - but interested in what any close watchers think.
The club is certainly working itself up into a lather. And that bloke on BF

As you said, limited opportunities. I watched the GWS game v Geelong a couple weeks ago. His last qtr was very very promising. Obviously hasn't set the world on fire but at the same time has shown glimpses (IMO) that he will realise his potential. Probably doesn't help that when he plays he's playing in a forwardline of a team that gets smashed and also has multiple forward targets. What I like from what I've seen, is whilst he has the size, he doesn't lack any agility or athleticism.
Agree with all of this. The Geelong game was the main game I watched as well, but have seen parts of others.
He's an 18 year old KPP in a bottom side. At his age it's not about how quantity, but quality. Some of his contested marking has been effortless.
He's 200cm, but plays like a pure forward. Marks the ball at it's highest point, which makes he even 'taller' if you like and is such a natural kick of the ball. Set shot routine is excellent. Definitely not an awkward ruck/forward hybrid that a lot of guys his size tend to be.
Anyone who heard him speak at last years draft would have been impressed with a maturity that seemed beyond his years. Scary to think that after 50 games he'll only be 21. By the time he's Levi's age, he'll have around 120-130 games experience.
Big call by Effes, as he's obviously a different type of forward to Cameron. He's mobile enough for a guy his size, but even allowing for improved athleticism/better tank etc he's a guy that you wouldn't want roaming to much out the forward 50.
100% behind the club going hard for him. As much as people will see it as a risk as his reputation currently is based purely on potential, there's no point trying years down the track if he turns out to be the player everyone is expecting. Would take a Judd like trade, and then some.
The lure for playing for his childhood love will dwindle once the years pass. He will make new friends, become more and more entrenched after each win and we'll purely become just another enemy.
The time to strike is now.
