What were they?

Was the obvious question only the interviewers decided to talk about Bec instead.

Agree, was a bit light weight in that respect. Also, as noted, his comment about wanting Waite to stick around was let go whrn a follow up question would have been better.

On the positive side it's great to know that Judd is ready to play another year.

Would still love to know what happened four weeks ago.

Fairly Obvious to me
Malthouse got pulled into line and the game plan changed
They are now playing a more modern high possesion game and tend not to kick to contest and switch more andctry and control the ball.
It also coincided in a drop off of Casboult and Hendo and Waite became more prominent
The new style suits tge leading forward

FWIW the poster on BF (who is almost always spot on) has said Judd playing on is a major boost to luring Boyd.

Great interview with Judd on OTC tonight.
Wookie will get it up. Watch it.

He made it obvious he hasn't squeezed the club.
Took the 50% cut in last contract. Claims his call.
Has agreed to continue and hasn't got a contract yet.
He believes the club and he are fair.

I reckon he can smell what's cooking.
A couple new star recruits.
A couple of good B graders like Everitt and Docherty.
Kreuzer returns.
Good run with injury.
Great preseason.
Everyone steps up.
Everyone on the same page.

Bring it on.

I think you can see what judd is talking about ... the change in the last month has been clear to the eye to all that follow carlton.

its been some of our best football for years, and its definitely the first time this season you look on with hope.

really starting to look like that the pre-season or lack of rather last year, had a real effect on us as the start of the season ...

I really admire Chris Judd...He is the only footballer that I have 100% admired .............................................................................................................
.................................................
except for Wayne Harmes, Alex Jesaulenko, John Nicholls, Ken Hunter, Paul Meldrum, Peter Bosustow, Peter Dean, Craig Bradley, Greg Williams, Brad Pearce, Anthony Koutoufides and a couple of others.

He keeps me loving football. At the very least, he is the only player of the last 15-20 years from any club that I have 100% admired. I hope 2015 is an enjoyable year for him no matter what position on the ladder Carlton finds itself at.

Loved judds interview. A real ambassador for the game. He had a nice sidestep to the question about pressures on footballers and refused to complain publicly. I was surprised to hear that a month ago he had decided to retire. Perhaps a certain new president saw that judd retiring would not be a good message , or more likely that judd deciding to go on sent a really positive message to the playing group and supporters.

It is on the club website.
Wrap him up in cotton wool, dont want him to get injured again as he may change his mind, again.

This is driving me crazy! :screwy: What happened 4 weeks ago that changed Judds mind?

Just throwing one out there - Its no secret that the new (incoming at the time) president was wanting to snag someone of note upon his commencement of the position. It was a failed attempt and one that somewhat backfired with a bit of negative press, but was handled beautifully by the pres offering no apologies for wanting the best for Carlton. I'm sure his view of wanting the best hasn't changed, and I'm doubly sure his desire to snag someone of note hasn't either.

Could he/we have snagged someone of such note that it would cause Judd to reconsider his retirement? In that this person will immediately have such an impact upon our on field success that Judd knows he'd be walking away from a premiership if he retires?

Even Judd himself was pretty adamant that when he makes up his mind about something, he see's it through, and 4 weeks ago something changed his mind about retirement. He told Malthouse, friends, family, no doubt this was a certainty to happen at seasons end.

Not only is Judd playing on for 2015, he looks excited about it. Call me crazy, but the whole entire group have looked excited for the last 4 weeks ...

Yes what did happen to make Judd reverse his decision? Extremely curious.

..team buy-in goes a long way, for everyone.... ..our biggest weakness was always poor team culture, little on-field leadership.. ..total lack of team work.... ..i think we can say that it has finally clicked.. ..in some ways it's hard to determine where our list is, with such a previous lack of buy-in..
