The Crows are happy to let him come over here for talks even though he is still their CEO. They are looking forward to getting rid of him quietly ... and we are the suckers that took him off their hands.

Well done Blues .... lots of integrity.

I blame Madhouse  .

Just makes it even more bizarre that he's still at the Crows. This is actually quite strange, I think.

He had a meet and greet and a tour if the facility Friday arvo. Surprised they didn't roll him out in front of the cameras.

Probably because he's still technically an Adelaide employee.

Ginned this up for the bigfooty board. I can deal with the whole "second chance thing". Its his record as CEO in key areas over the last 5 years that i have trouble with, its not exactly remarkable.

Image

- Membership down (although membership revenue is up),
- Crowds are well down, although some of that is form related
- Total Revenue increases mainly in line with broadcast rights rising, and an annual $1 million Grant from the SANFL (which is in turn a loan from the AFL)
- Sponsrship rose briefly and is currently at the same level it was at 5 years ago.

Yes Adelaide Oval will change much of this.

Well frank he hasn't come out with any ludicrous grand statements like we're at 11oclock on the premiership clock like someone else we know said, so let's give him a chance and see what changes he intends to implement.

We wait with anticipation on the gags when Dr Joseph Mengele takes up his position with the Essendon* Football Club as the Chief Medical Officer.

Word out of Adelaide? Yeah, nah.
Sounds like he was equally loved and hated.
Can be precious, thin-skinned and "close-minded" in many situations.
But he did do many good things at the club.
Consensus was that it was time for him to leave.

FWIW.

I was hoping that was the case, because that's exactly what we need. Well done Igor.
