Wow, do a quick google search on "Trigg", "Adelaide" and "performance" and it's hardly glowing.

I'm going to echo the thoughts above. Is he really the best available ???

He oversaw the biggest instance of salary cap cheating since we were caught. He was there at a club that lost Tippett, Gunston and Vince.

What have we done ?

Gunston wanted to come home, Vince they wanted to get rid of. Isn't the footy manager the one responsible for player contracts, not the CEO?

Good point Drewgirl. But the CEO is the boss. Poor performance in other areas should rest at his feet.

I'm hardly seeing glowing endorsements about him.

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

I dunno.................
Salary Cap issues scare me.

But with that said, he's been in charge of the Crows since 2001 and they have been incredibly sound financially!

I was really hoping for someone outside footy, someone who knew how to build and run a business.

Oh well.

Eff me.... :banghead: :banghead:

Because obviously the commercial operations in the club are travelling beautifully.

I guess it could be worse, it could have been McKay.

External process. I'm willing to go with it. At least we looked for outside assessment and reached further than the '95 premiership team.

What has the Adelaide Football Club excelled at under his tenure? And you can't include memberships because as a two team town and the first SA licensee that's an easy box to tick.

Everyone has been screaming out for a process in relation to key appointments.
We engaged a head hunting firm to flush out candidates and came up with a final list of 3.
From that list we have chosen Trigg. I am prepared to give the guy a chance.

Time will tell. I've heard good and bad about him. Hard to judge him regarding Adelaide as being a two team town he had a lot of advantages.

In fairness who else was there? Doesn't seem to be many quality candidates.

Just glad it's not McKay.
