Why is it underwhelming? I think it's risky personally, but not underwhelming

If we appoint someone who has been suspended from the game for an involvement in Salary Cap breaches, I will not be renewing the 7 CFC Memberships that I currently pay for.

I hope it is not true that we are gong to make such an appointment. Bit hard to take the higher ground on moral and ethical issues surrounding other clubs if we had that decision on our books.

I'm neither here nor there on the idea, can see both sides of the argument but there's been an external process in place here. We always cry out for a process and here we have one - if this external process finds him as the best candidate for the role, should we choose the second best on principle? Technically he's done his time, there won't be any repeat performance and I think it'd be a little less controversial to you had we not been hung drawn and quartered for salary cap breaches previously.

Heard that phrase on NBC's (or similar) coverage of Obama's handling of the MH17 disaster. Shattered my illusion that Robbo invented it

From memory, whoever mentioned it in the media when I heard it (can't remember who) did say Monday night. Presumably there's a board meeting tonight so we may not know until tomorrow I guess.

By the way- some of the Sam Lane article was damning on Swann. Explains a lot, in fact.

Yep it's Trigg, they are reporting it now. Tommorow formally announced.

Should we worry about the salary cap issues he was part of?

It was more dodgy third party agreement . A lot of clubs did these in the past. Assume he learned from that. More interested if he was a good CEO at the Crows.

They (the crows) reckon he is arrogant. He one stage bagged the members in public, not sure of the details but they obviously did not like it.

He is said to be very astitute in a business sense. Very toffee apparently.

Geez hope he is the best man for the job, and never pulls anything like he did at the crows again.

As long as he's also incompetent he should fit right in.
