To be fair, we have form on that front.

Brendan Fevola's name might ring a bell. He has a few mates too.

Thought that myself.

Look, every team in the AFL has it's fair share of flower supporters. But sadly i do think that the culture of Carlton needs to change before we can start thinking about premierships again.

With that said, I don't think Malthouse is the right man to change us.

If he's such a good coach................... why did Collingwood not keep him? Or worse still.......... why would they ever let him go to their bitter rival?

Are they serious questions...... or are you taking the piss?

Nah, reread a few times.... you're takin' the piss. But well played, you had me going for a bit.

Sorry for the delay, in on UK time................ but no, im not taking the piss?

I'm kinda confused by your post too? What are you trying to say to me?

Is Channel 7 Collingwood's arch rival?

Mick - thanks for giving it to that flog Stevens at your conference.

Fantastic. That douches opinion carries no more clout than that of any keyboard warrior.

He is utterly seething that MM treats his 'profession' with disdain - and rightfully so. They are no better than the paparazzo.

Suck sh!t 'stevo'

At the end of the press conference, Mark Stevens asked Mick if it's been an especially tough week.

Mick replied "Every week's tough" as he stood up to leave.

Can anyone fill me in on what was said next as could not make it out from the video?

Something like not going to confession because I haven't committed murder.

I'm not actually trying to say anything to you. I was asking.

What's confusing? You wrote "why would they let him go to a bitter rival?" Are you serious. Please list the ways they could've stopped him.

That's just for starters, addressing your more outlandish question in your last paragraph. But that'll do. That was enough for me to ask you if you were taking the piss.

That's my point. They didn't even try.
What im saying is,........... if he was such a good coach still, why is he not still in charge of Collingwood right now?

He is the highest paid coach in the AFL (Pretty sure anyway, happy to be corrected) and Carlton seem to think that he would have taken us to our 17th (and then, as promised by Sticks and Co, 2 premierships in 5 years).

Now, injuries aside (Kreuzer, Judd missing half, etc etc) I see nothing from this season and even last years that even resembles Mick being worthy of the highest paid coach in the league.

If he was, he'd be still coaching Collingwood!

But in truth - they didn't want him anymore. Hell, they pretty muck kicked him out (so to speak).

I think it was a veiled threat at the end:

I haven't murdered anyone, have I?

Yet....

He's got til the end of next year. +3 months for every win, -3 months for every loss. If he wins us 15 games next year, happy days.

Do I have to explain this shit again??

Eddie decided Mick's fate in 2009 (or maybe even 2008), thinking he may be finished. In the next 3 years he took them to a Preliminary Final and 2 Grand Finals, winning a flag. It was a blunder of colossal proportions.

HOWEVER........ rather than admitting his mistake and renegotiating the contracts, Eddie did what he often does, and went through with it, tossing a coach at the top of his game, and then making up a bullshit excuse: "We were worried about Mick's health". That ranks up there with "the cheque's in the mail", "I'll still respect you in the morning"...

You can like Mick or not, and I'm not sure he's the right guy for Carlton....... But Pur-lease, don't insult our intelligence by using as an argument the fact that Collingwood got rid of him. They got rid of him because Eddie made an error of judgement, had a hard-on for Bucks coaching his team, and was too pig-headed to admit his mistake.
