Why did they allow him to say all of Mick's assistants have been failures. He went on and on about Neeld and Watters. Why not Brad Scott and Guy McKenna?

Robbo was just about ready to kiss Sellers.

Shockingly - King was the only one who spoke sense.

Mark Maclure speaks as he played.....no stuffing around, and do the job right now as it has to be done.

Love him on that program as I loved him as a player.

We will do it old school way, well it does not work this way anymore. Recommends McKay for CEO role 2 weeks ago . Recommends we re sign mm 4 weeks ago.I like McClure but he is a perfect example what is wrong with this club , living in the past not embracing the future. Jobs for the boys.

I heard the interview on ABC. that's exactly what Maclure said.

Spot on , I heard the same thing. I think he is losing it.

Why is there an issue with changing your mind?

TC members salivating over his comments makes it even more depressing.

Reckon Sellers may know JUST a wee bit more about the inner workings of the CFC than us.

Trigger,
Don't you think it's ok to think MM is the man to coach ,whilst still admitting to his glaring flaws?
It's weird how you joined up around the time MM joined CFC.
am I saying you might be wearing malty colored glasses?
yes, I think I am.
i just think it's pointless trying to dissuade those of us who clearly don't like the way the man conducts himself.
I am one who thinks he should probably see his contract out.
I am also dead against re signing him as I think he is an extremely poor role model for the boys, and a very poor spokesman for our club.

Sellers also said Gibbs was GONE a couple of weeks back.

I reckon he knows nothing. He's a sideshow.

If he wants McKay as CEO then I'm very pleased he has no more influence on the club than you or I.

News corp are feasting on this - anything to deflect attention from Essendon*.

Yeah right....12 years in the side....245 games and 327 goals; and although plagued by back trouble; played a big part at CHF in 3 Premierships.............

It was funny when Robbo asked Sellers if he thought we should consider Bomber as our next coach.
Mark completely ignored the question.

And how many times has he got it wrong regarding the club

you've just read at least two examples in the last page of this thread.

We can all recite his (great) playing record. And that has to do.... Exactly what.... With having a clue about the club now?

To repeat : he asked the AFL to step in and prevent Malthouse from breaking McHale's record. He's unhinged. Thank god his involvement with the club is restricted to past player functions.

Like I said - a sideshow.

This is beginning to look like one of the typical media driven coach sackings.

They smell blood. They're not going to stop until we take the easy way out and sack him.

I sincerely hope Robbo, Ralph and Maclure aren't running the agenda for the club. Because that's the calibre of public comment underway at present. I couldn't be less interested or concerned at anything those types are saying.

Neither could I.

However, someone is buying the HS, someone watches fox footy religiously and believes every word Robbo and Gerard say and there are people who listen to SEN all day.

Whilst we couldn't care less there are people who do. Membership has dropped off. Crowds are down. They'll most likely be even worse next year.

They know our board have a history of sacking coaches and thinking it will solve all our issues.

One can only hope MLG stands tall and doesn't give in to the masses.

If those inside the club believe in what MM is delivering I hope they stay the course.

As King said tonight... Success wins hearts and minds. If Mick is viewed as the best path to success, the numbers will follow if that proves to be true.

My jaw dropped when King said that tonight. By far the most sensible thing he has said on that show. Put Sellers right back in his place saying if the fans are dropping off because we're losing (i.e. Sellers) then they're not the fans you want, not to mention they'll be right back when we're winning.

Totally agree and Sellers was straight back in his box after that comment.
