Didn't Mick try last year but Lenny decided to play on.

He'll probably want Maxwell now too.

Based on our history OR Keogh is probably right, but the truth is we don't really know. I hope MLG does because I don't believe anyone has stood up to MM before.

Whatever happens it's not a good look and the inconsistency of MM is a concern.

It's just another example of a rudderless club heading in several different directions with no real pathway. On nearly every front the club looks second rate and a rabble.

Very soon MLG needs to step up, admit to where we are and steer a clear course to getting us back to the top. A new CEO and List Manager would be a good start.

Hey Psych,

Our recent history may suggest you & Keogh are correct, however, our longer term history is full of strong leadership and success within and to the full extent of the rules.

Our leadership over the past 10-15 years has, at best, been questionable.

Mark doesn't deserve to be branded as the same person as those leaders & he has the ability and dedication to restore us to success.

For the record he is aware of the image issues being created and he has spoken with MM, at length.

IMO there is zero value in the club addressing the media on this issue. No matter what is said the media will feast on the statement, either further honing in on MM or slagging the club for condoning what's occurring. Either way the club loses.

Cheers

OR

Make it public
Why
So we supporters know the most important person at the club believes the clubs image is more important than this old egomaniac

We supporters deserve this after the crap propaganda the club has dished out to us over the years
Under the weak leadership of sticks

This is one of the reasons we have under 50000 members
I for one am sick of this shit
MLG presides over this club
He needs to make a statement and stamp his authority over anyone who disgraces the Carlton emblem in any way

It didn't hurt Hawthorn under uncle Jeffies reign

Well geez OR,
i hope you mean he has spoken very recently to MM,
or otherwise,
we'd have to say
the talk did not go well.

Thanks OR.

No one is branding MLG at all, especially not from my point of view. I know nothing about him.

I just hope he steps up, is honest about where we sit and put plans in place to completely overhaul the club and set it on the right path. Hopefully he will back up the confidence that you have in him.

No matter what happens now we need a very strong leader who is in for the long haul.

As for MM, IMO a decision needs to be made on him come years end. He is either the right man to rebuild the list or he isn't and that will take a minimum 3-4 years. If he buys into that and is prepared to do the hard yards going back to kids, great, if not we need to look elsewhere.

Keogh, you ever been in a leadership position?

If so have you had to deal with a similar scenario? Just curious as MLG's credentials from my understanding are strong.

BTW, I think Malthouse is on the right path ... pretty soon players like Carrazzo, Walker and Simpson will not be walk up starts.

So hands up if you're willing to purchase a $200 raffle ticket to help pay out his contract for next season.

Anyone see AFL360 tonight?

Mark Maclure made some very interesting comments on MM and IMO most were right.

Bottom line is the club has no direction and no one knows what is happening.

Maclure was hysterical by the end of it. Suggesting The AFL needs to step in and stop him breaking McHale's record?

It's really hard to take Sellers seriously on the best of days, and today was far from his best.

Whately challenged him on his comments a month ago where he implored Kernahan to resign MM.
I heard the interview on ABC. that's exactly what Maclure said.

Mark Maclure speaks as he played.....no stuffing around, and do the job right now as it has to be done.

Love him on that program as I loved him as a player.
