The other point is we were in the middle of a game and doing well. Mick spent part or most of half time seething about TV coverage in the box??? Which is apparently Cameron Ling's responsibility!! Then spends the start of the third qtr pasting paper to the coaches box like an angry ten year old. And he expects the players to focus? To control the things they can control? To be disciplined? Still maybe he was blocking out his view of the Swans ten goal blitz. I can't imagine any Blues fan, no matter how pro Mick, could find his behaviour acceptable in any way. He makes Homer Simpson look like a role model for maturity.

And of course when asked the next day he charmingly denied it even happened. Never one to admit fault is Mick. He will currently be scouring his book of quotes to see what he can dredge up from Chruchill to justify his actions. It's all about Mick

Agree. Since his first game coaching us I have been going on about his tantrums in the box each week being a shocking example of how to stay focussed. No wonder the players play like they have no faith in him or his crazy ideas.

The game has passed him by and he has used CFC as a cashcow for him and his mates.

What he does in the box I have seen;

Alastair Clarkson, John Longmire, Ken Hinckley, Ross Lyon ................ do.

The Psychologist would know.

Both Sam and Lingy 'copped it' beautifully.

Pretty weak points about the other coaches.

Mick is paid the most in the league.
You expect professionalism and you expect results.
You expect a guy your paying 1 million a year will have the respect from the media, the league and the fans.
You expect a guy your paying 1 million a year to not be putting paper up on the glass to block cameras.
You expect a guy your paying 1 million a year to be focused on the game and to be composed to make the right decisions. I did not see composure at 1/2 time and after 1/2 time, the players were flat and it was like watching a different side. Sure Sydney played well, but it was a massive drop off from the first half.
You expect a guy your paying 1 million a year to have better results and a game plan implemented after nearly 2 seasons.
You expect a guy your paying 1 million a year not to talk up his opposition team like they have already lost the game. Great confidence booster pre game. Sydney are probably greatest team of all time, just in case we lose. I told you so.

I would like to say some positives about Mick and how he has delivered value for money in the 2 million in cheque's he has received so far, but it is pretty hard to find.

Someone tell Mick that he won't be missed if he retired tomorrow. Can get the same output out of a rookie coach like Stuart Dew, Cameron Ling and probably a lot more with an understanding of the modern game
