I think surreyblue is talking about future high draftees who are rumoured to have said to people inside Carlton that they dont wish to be drafted by us.

I heard Lucy, that Queensland defender, had somehow passed this on to Carlton to try to make sure we don't draft him. Pretty sure the rules say he can't do it, and we can draft him regardless, but that was my reading of Surreyblue's post.

Well tough titties.

You want to play AFL and nominate for the draft, you go where you're drafted. There are so many thousands of others who would give their left nut to play AFL-level footy, and these spoiled twats are sooking about not playing for club A, or having to play for club B. Campo must have already spoken to them.

Trouble is that Surrey comes into these threads with the old nudge, nudge,i,ve got a source etc but when asked to put up, runs for cover.

All he does is package up rumour and inuendo that he picks up on the various boards and attempt to sell himself as having some inside information!

If people want to peddle the rumour machine so be it,but don,t try to pass yourself off as having the inside goss!

I'm sure iff Tex was disillusioned with Pagan et al at Carlton he wouldn't said he enjoyed his time there (or something along those lines) when re-signing and perhaps he might've mentioned it to his father.

But that doesn't seem to be the case. Thanks DOA.

This is surely going to be one of our longest off-seasons. Only October, just a lazy 5 months to go.

All I can say 7dom is that I'm glad someone from Sydney can attack my integrity with snide remarks every second day.

Most people have answered their own questions by the way, so I don't need to get into it again, but will say this, whether we like it or not, we are 1. struggling to get anyone of value and 2. our recruites (via all drafts  ) aren't happy and would also rather be elsewhere.

This might change, but for the moment, this is the sad truth of the matter and I for one cannot handle seeing my club in this mess.

You always play the Sydney card Surrey, usually implicitly. And every time you deny it...here it is in blue and white to prove it. And it gets annoying.

For what it's worth, I chatted with Walks after training when I was down in July, asked him whether he enjoyed being here, he was non-committal and said it was "alright". I have a photo of me and him if you want proof...

It would'nt matter if i lived in Sydney ot Timbuk-bloody-to Surrey. If you are going to try and pass yourself off as having inside information(as you did on several threads Friday) i will challenge you every time.

I will ask you again what are your sources?

We're currently the worst team in the AFL, so it doesn't take Einstein to work out that if you're a 17y.o, you'd rather be recruited by someone else.

I'd also be pretty disappointed if a guy like Andrew Walker was ecstatic with the place right now, given that the team has been playing terrible football. If he was happy, then I'd be worried.

Are we going to spend the next four months jumping at shadows?

I don't believe that Walker rumour cause I think he would be happy just to be playing AFL footy. If he was at another club he wouldn't have played as many games.

Back on topic for a moment. Did anyone read the back of the sports section of the Age.

There was a little article in there about campo and his wedding. Apparently as he's between clubs right now, he made a joke to his father in law saying that he's out of work and needs some cash.

Even after 11 years at AFL level, commentators have had trouble with the pronounciation of Campo's name. Now, finally I can clear up the confusion. It's not Cam-por-ree-AH-lee, it's not Cam-por-elli, it's SCUM.

Didnt see it Chucky but I heard one of the players on SEN say Campo wanted money instead of a gift for a present.

Don't worry DOA, everyone is a misery guts in here. According to everyone there is nothing positive with Carlton at the moment. Bloody hell everyone. I am sure with a few wins, everyone will be rosy again. Ok lets go positive: We still have a large membership base, the following players who will need time are the nucleous of our side: Waite, Fisher, Walker, Betts, Thornton, Carazzo, Simpson, Bentick, Russell, Hartlett, Blackwell (He will play games next year!!!!!), Bryan. Together with Stevens, Scotland, Fevola, Whitnall. Together with potential draftees Murphy and hopefully one of Kennedy, Ryder or Hurn we are getting any exciting list. Yes we have heaps of holes, and if the players mentioned don't take the next step we are in trouble. But give it time, and more importantly the players will take a few years to realise their potential. Look at Freo, one of the most talented lists and they cannot get in the finals. But you would think they would one day click.

Our thoughts of Pagan, Collo and the Board etc will all get better when we are feeling better about our on field fortunes.
