SIMPLE AS THAT.

Thats the point - HE MUST SHOW SOMETHING THIS WEEK AGAINST THE SWANS IN SYDNEY,

And why shouldnt he. he has been given a chance to play. It does not matter what team you get that chancee if your fair dinkum about wanting to stay in this team and not play reserves then you have to earn it which he obviously has.

We can give Everritt 4 months so he can show us that he can play a good game every month and hide him on the wings and in the pockets like we do with daisy and Docherty.

Most sensible supporters realise that Everitt has been very good for us this season. He is hardly "hidden", he is given roles to play, which to date he has more than accomplished. Docherty??? again how is he "hidden" has relished his opportunity and if you havent seen his impact you must be blind. Daisy agree to an extent, however is far from 100% match fit, but has shown enough to suggest once he gets that fitness he will be good fo ur

But Watson MUST perform against Hawthorn, who we havent beaten in years and also be best on ground and hold Roughhead down a dual premiership player and monster forward.

Guess what? Watson is a BACKMAN. Who he plays against does not matter. Its his role and he got literally pantsed that day. Not good enough for a player that has been in the system for years. I'd suggest most forwards would be licking their lips if they got the chance to play on him

Only one chance for Watson this year - the year of the Mick and Wiley "PROVING yourself to stay on the list" year.

He was probably lucky to get that. Do you not beleive players should earn a game rather then be handed them?

And you can bet your bottom dollar that Graham will get one chance too - not 4 months like the chosen ones.

See comment above. Thiose "chosen" ones have earnt and held their spots plain and simple. Graham has been a little unlucky, but he just has to show he belongs

Good luck to him - he looks like he has some class and talent in him.

not an even playing field with the Mick and Wiley circus - the best way to ruin a sense of TEAM in any club is for the senior coach to have favorites and protected species. I hope this changes soon. every player on our list must feel like they have a chance to play senior football if they put their heads down and work hard and get some form under their belts.

Who says plays are not afforded that opportunity in our team? Perhaps some have not "put there heads down and worked hard" enough!!

(not many players star in their first games - even in their first few seasons. imagine mick was around when Simpson played his first 3 games, where he didnt get a single possession? simo turned out to be a great durable and courageous player)

Agree entirely. Anyone who spews Menzel should be ashamed of themselves.

Carrots. That's what normally gets spewed. So, leave Menzel alone, and spew carrots.

So you want all players judged upon one performance?

We can give Everritt 4 months so he can show us that he can play a good game every month and hide him on the wings and in the pockets like we do with daisy and Docherty.

Didnt criticise Everitt's good games - just the opportunities and faith afforded to him by Mick over the entire season. One of the untouchables and we all know why dont we ladies and gentlemen

Yes he was pantsed that day - just like Daisy was several times this year. And just about every other player on our list with the exception of a few consistent players. Maybe these players should have been dropped as well? Especially seeing they have been given many chances this year to perform - unlike Watson who must perform against Roughhead and the reigning premiers. You do see this point dont you?

Only one chance for Watson this year - the year of the Mick and Wiley "PROVING yourself to stay on the list" year.

He was probably lucky to get that. Do you not beleive players should earn a game rather then be handed them?

Any other "lucky" players on our list that you care to mention? Or is it just Watson?

And you can bet your bottom dollar that Graham will get one chance too - not 4 months like the chosen ones.

See comment above. Thiose "chosen" ones have earnt and held their spots plain and simple. Graham has been a little unlucky, but he just has to show he belongs

You actually admit in public that its official club selection policy that we HAVE CHOSEN ONES on our list? Not a bad policy hey? Just the 5 wins this year, and no wins against anyone of note - maybe this week it will happen - although Mick reckons we are up against the best list seen in the history of the game - great faith in our players - well done MM"

Good luck to him - he looks like he has some class and talent in him.

I say it based upon our performance and results - its not as if we are sitting on top of the ladder. We are at the bottom remember? And for very obvious reasons

(not many players star in their first games - even in their first few seasons. imagine mick was around when Simpson played his first 3 games, where he didnt get a single possession? simo turned out to be a great durable and courageous player)

If recent history against Sydney is anything to go by, then this could get very ugly.

Keep it under five goals and the side has done well.

We will not beat Sydney.
We will not even come close.
We will be lucky if we can keep it under 100 points.

Here's to hoping Sydney decide to have a day off and thump us by anything under 50 points.

We can hide Graham on the wing because we hide McLean, Ellard and Bell on the ground somewhere...
If their is one player who deserves an opportunity it's Graham, reward for effort, results show us that.
Still not sure what Ellard did last week to deserve the opportunity this week??? If Ellard is a walk up start, it shows us where we sit on the ladder... Likewise with Bell, not sure what he did the week before nor did he perform that well when he came on against the saints, wonder if Graham will receive the same freedom that most of our average players get.....
I don't know if Graham will make it but, give him the rest of the year then decide he's future....
Ellard has played 48 games and Bell has played 22, maybe judge Graham after 20 games???? Needs more than 2 quarters....

Bell is in our best 22.
Ellard is too (at the moment).

Graham is in our best 30. Maybe. That's the difference. If he has earned his place in the best 22 for the week because if injuries etc to players in his position, he gets a go. It's always been that way. Wiggo was the same. He was in our best 25 and had to wait for someone to get injured before he got a game. When he got injured or suspended, he had to wait weeks or months before he got another go.

This is Graham's chance to try and prove he is in our best midfield rotation. Not easy atm because we have a lot of similar paced players it seems. Now he has his turn. if he gets match time he needs to show, like Johnson, that he can hold his own. Nobody expects him to be BOG, just to do as he was instructed regarding team plan etc. if he does that and uses the footy when he gets it, he gets a return bout a la Johnson. A la Buckley. A la Bell in the beginning. If he's sub he has to make it a winning quarter for himself. Johnson came on as sub and had a few touches but he showed us all something in those few minutes that told us he was worth having a look at again the following week. Graham has to do that. Just show something worth looking at next week, maybe in the 21 and not as the sub.

Good players don't often fall through the cracks. It does happen from time to time but usually they get their turn. This is Graham's.

Graham finally gets a gig and his fans still aren't happy

All he needs to do is play his role

Nobody expects him to get 30 touches

Put your head over the ball, give 100%, run both ways, do what the coaches tell you, try to not @#$%&! up, and you'll have done well

Sydney play a game tailored to Graham's skill set, to some degree anyhow

Derickx withdrawn from the Swans Reserves side so possibly a late change.

Very likely.

I'd say Ellards defensive ability will see him start.

most likely, and when Mick brings him on for 20 minutes he will need to match it with Kennedy and McVeigh - thrash them in fact to stay in the team.

unlike Everrit, Docherty and Daisy who will be protected in the pockets and hiding on the wings - they must stay in the side - 100 minute players, week in week out - untouchables - Micks children, Like the Great Cameron Wood - 64 games in 10 seasons at 3 clubs

graham - one chance for 20 minutes.

He better step up or its delisting for him at the end of the year so we can recruit didak or O'Brien magumba on 2 million dollar contracts

Daisy has definitely been hidden in the pockets. Agree with you there. If he has lost his pace permanently, we are is strife with his albatross like contract.

Docherty has been fantastic this year in a variety of roles. He hasn't been hidden. Especially as he is a half back, who is learning the midfield.

Everitt is a utility. Not a midfielder.
