Where can I join up to this 2009 supercoach comp?
I'm inspired!

Only played one season and retired. Was too easy against this quality of footy intellects on this site.

You critiquing the level of intellect on this site is like asking Max Walker to judge the Booker prize.

Look forward to seeing your critiquing on this site in the future Rhino. But, usually l don't notice your posts or bother to read. Good to see you read the important ones and reply to supercoach 2009 :) It is actually called a bit of banter.

Winning easy money sucks.
Obviously too smart for that!

Wayne carey reckons pagan should still be coaching carlton. Not sure he is a reliable witness. If he is talking coaching records, MM's is outstanding. But 2013/4 not so good. He reminds me of blight at the saints. Blight had a great coaching record and got the crows two flags when they didn't appear to be the best in the comp. blight went to the sts for the wrong reasons and was a dud. MM was a great coach as have been a number of coaches. What has he done over the last few years that makes him a great coach in 2014. Cwd knew him well and removed him, we knew little abt him and paid him a fortune and let him interview us for the job. Pagan had a great record until he came to us. We have that effect.

Given the track record of the board and Sticks in particular, I'd say Mick is one smart cookie to interview them, don't you? FWIW, I think Mick's has the passion and the knowledge to rebuild not just the team, but the club again. Look at his record with Footscray, WCE and Collingwood- it says it all, really.

You're forgetting Sticks` masterstroke of having us finishing last for the next 5 years while the Suns and GWS clean up. Sheer genius.

Too bad Jock McHale passed away. He would have been ideal.

Do you know when the space shuttle discovery made it's maiden voyage? When was AIDS identified or when did the first ever Apple Macintosh go on sale?
When did Wham bring out "wake me up before you go, go"? When were the A team and knight rider popular TV shows?
Don't forget, Prince Harrys birth.

1984. When Mick Malthouse coached Footscray. Life evolves. If we're looking back to someones record in 1984 for positives, ask yourself whether you're scraping the barrel.

No doubt Sheedy will be our next option. A better winning ratio than Malthouse plus a better record in Grand finals. Not to mention he's we'll ahead in head to head battles.
I'm sure everyone will jump on those positives once we sign him up!

Might just be me, but I think Mick's comments from his presser during the week had the intended impact on Waite & Jeffy.

Mick is a good man manager - he knows what players can handle criticism and which can't.

Yeah let's get Alan Richardson he's better than MM, better than Ratts, better than Pagan.

Heck he's even better than Britts.

Was a game of men against boys.

I'm not comparing Richo with MM but I suspect he's doing exactly what he should be at the Saints.
Considering he took the job in the middle of November, he hasn't had any control over the composition of their list.

What he has done however is get games into their kids. They had 12 players with under 50 games on Sunday compared to our 7 and let's be honest, our 7 players under 50 games include a 23 year old, a 24 year old and a 2 x 26 year olds.
He's played 40 of their players this season so I suspect they'll have a handle on the capability of all their players by seasons end so they can make informed decisions.
Plus with a list decimated by injury, they've won 2 games less than us.

I doubt we're in a position to be criticising anyone at the moment.

Actually, sKilda had 16 players 23 years and over playing yesterday. Only leaves 6 kids to our 3, and a few more of ours would have played if they were not injured or coming back from injury.

Bang on

We have SFA midfield, an ageing midfield core who are just about cooked, and arguably the worst drafting in the AFL, but it's all Micks fault lol

I see Betts is starring for Adelaide (we could have easily kept him my matching Adelaide's price) ... but of course Dr Strangelove wanted Thomas.

... and then of course there is Laidler. Has played most of the year in the best team in the comp ... couldn't get a game under Tricky Micky.

All of that hard work after years at the bottom ... getting us back into the finals ... now to end up back where we started.

The main thing though ... is that we have the Super Duper Coach ... thats all that matters.

Yep, that's all that matters, glad it has finally clicked.

He is doing exactly what Chris Pelchan wants him to do.
