I'd love to join you, but I don't think I'll get the chance to be down in Melbourne at the right time.

I wonder if MLG knows there's a massive market in Sydney for catching up with club members?

On a serious note (sorry) - I'm going to meet with Mark and a couple of the CFC executive post-season. Anyone who wants to have a serious discussion about the future of the club and to convey their own thoughts as a member prior to the AGM is welcome to join me. The club is yours. Complaining on an internet forum may help your blood pressure, but essentially it is not a medium through which you are heard.

I would take up the offer Doc, but other priorities in life have taken over the past year, so I simply don't care anymore. Passion has gone.

Still find time to post on a Carlton forum everyday though.

I would suggest this community is less about Carlton and more about friendships, Dane.

I hope LoGiudice reads this article before he goes to see head office.

I doubt Carlton will ever contend for the premiership without the approval of head office. Port Adelaide, now a "contender", was handed over 6 million in assistance by the AFL. Where is the AFL's assistance to one of the few clubs that hasn't contested a preliminary final in the last decade? ie Carlton. Why does Carlton still owe the AFL $500,000 in loans and then an extra $300,000 in equalisation measures whilst Port gets $6 million in gifts?

Oh sorry, I forgot. Carlton is a "rich club" (whilst 5 million in debt) that doesn't need assistance. It will get to the stage where people won't buy membership or attend matches until they get an inkling that the AFL is treating Carlton's situation as seriously as Melbourne's, Brisbane's or North Melbourne's.

The HUN is reporting that MLG will be giving his maiden speech on Sunday.

What do you think he will say ?

There's a fish rotting from the tail ?

The notches are tops ?

Don't snapchat while you are driving?

A Mars a day helps you win flags ?

Let's hope it doesn't go a little something like this…

He may find himself presiding over a board of hacks
And he may find himself in a strange bizarro world
And he may find himself behind the wheel of an out of control automobile
And he may find himself in a terrible house, facing a terrible strife
And he may ask himself
Well...How did I get here?

Letting the votes go by
Let the pokies hold him down
Letting the votes go by
Driving the club into the ground
Into the blue again
After the money's gone
Once in a lifetime
Driving the club into the ground

Sub judice needs to say
The last 19 years have been ordinary both on and off field
We have had a number of false dawns since 1995 and I will do everything in my power to turn things around and will not let anyone or anything get in my way
I want to return the club to its members and re-build this club into something that it's fans and members can be proud of and it's enemies fear but respect

I think it's catchy anyway.

You forgot "working hard to get Carlton back to what we see as our rightful position of strength on field"
