Does this article actually say anything new though?

If she's saying that we are finally getting some traction with the AFL then great, but this has been under negotiation all year and I ain't heard diddly about how likely it is.

AFL should be using its surplus to help us out- this is a good way to do it. After all, we solved some of their problems by mving in the first place.

I've read this story a thousand times from posters on here. Can't respect a sports journalist who just rips off internet posters.
Does she ever write anything on the actual game itself?

No, thegame... she writes on footy politics, and she's a damn fine writer to, even if she lets her bias swing against us sometimes.

I sense a softening towards carlton.... not sure I am 100% comfortable with that.

It certainly does suggest that the board is trying everything it can to fix our current situation.

Still maintain she is the best football journalist in the caper. Would be a great political commentator as well with her insight.

Maybe. But she's quite ugly.

Although Laurie Oakes, Michelle Grattan, Paul Bongiorno...

hmmm looks aren't important after all.

I reckon she is more interested in gossip. She would be more intersested in Brad and Angelina than the game itself.

Refreshing to see a lack of 'Caro bashing'.

The only football journalist who consistently gets leading stories correct. Regardless of whether we wanted to hear it, the articles she's written abount Carlton over the last few years were accurate and needed to be written.

This latest offering shows a positive future for our club, which is something we've been searching for a long time.

Agree, have felt for a long time that Caro is the best football journalist in australia.

And, for sheer quality in football pieces, i'd nominate Greg Baum as a winner. His articles are usually always a joy to read.

Compare both of them to Mike Sheehan. Seems these days he is content to be paid a lot of money to write reviews on the weekends happenings. Week-in, week-out, he tells us stuff that we already know. I'm dumbfounded that this guy is respected as a footy journo. When was the last time that he had anything pertinent to say?

Taking the cake, though, for bad journalism skills is Garrie Hutchinson. Even the fact that he is a true-blue carlton fan can't hide that fact, for me, that his writing is shit.
