Bar recent change the core of the list is the same one Ratten took to fifth

That was the ceiling for this lot

Club got Mick to see if he could take th further but that wasn't to be

Take a look at the players who've missed lots of footy this year ... Judd, Carrazzo, Waite all old players plus Scotland retired

It's over for this leadership core

They've run out of legs. Injuries are common place

That's not Micks fault and he's done very well to develop some key defenders and some kids in just the last 8 or so weeks, the redevelopment of a new wave has already commenced and Mick deserves credit for this

If you can't see this you don't know football Gerry

Mick probably knew time would be up for the likes of Carrazzo, Judd, Waite, Scotland etc

He's in it for the LT and that's a plus because he's demonstrated In just 8 weeks he knows how to rebuild lists and confidence and amazingly develop so so players into good players - Rowe, White etc

Gerry, how much depth do we have? Have you seen the VFL side? It's terrible. There's bugger all depth. Do you understand why Mick played senior players since R1 who weren't fit? Is it Micks fault the list is mediocre? Do you understand football?

Mick has lost his security blankets with Swann and Sticks leaving - and isn't at all comfortable about it going by his comments the other day.

Wouldn't be surprised one bit if he walks as well.

You don't think he's a big boy?

He will walk away if the replacements stuff the place up

Mick is a servant to the board. He does his job

He doesn't need Sticks to hold his dick while he pees

If you feel so compelled to question others' football knowledge, why do you keep changing your opinions on it so often and quickly?

one thing about bruce is he believes in micks capability to steel the list and improve it.

mm just has to show improvement in the direction of the list and he will get an extention.
like i said... bruce thinks hes the right man for the job... as do all people that have a realistic eye on where were at
but u just need bruce on your side right now...
the pratts wouldnt rock the mm boat anyway....

hes as safe as houses....

Looking at Robinson he still has the same deficiencies he had under Ratten.

You haven't noticed how over the last 4-5 weeks, he's now started to look to feed off by hand rather than simply bombing to the opposition?

Haven't noticed; he has played only 3 games since round 3. It would be good if he was able to do that given he can win CP well.

I'd love too. Proficient with powerpoint. Love the club, and can cook my pasta al dente. I can also wear ties.

blue wave.... unless malthouse is seen to have taken us backwards... and its deemed he hasnt atm... hes there for as long as he wants the job.
he has been given the task of restructuring the list....

and thats what hes going to do...

people thinking he will be gone after next year are kidding themselves...
he will be at the club for as long as he wants it.. or demonstrates hes taking this list backwards.

the list is at such a low base that nobody believes he will take it backwards except a couple of blokes in here... easily will have another 2 years bolted on to his current contract

he will be given the best support coaching team hes ever had here end of this year....

hamstrung with money problems
next year the mathiesons have pledged the best

I'm happy with this.

Been told by 2 different people we are sounding out Worsfold. I assume as an assistant.

I second that. Been told by more than one person that John and Mick aren't great friends.

Check out the career ending game for JW (though MM was in the right). He has no love for MM, and certainly would not be in a assistant position. He'd be replacing Mick if being sounded out. His days as an assistant coach ended with Parko.

Swann and Kernahan presided over some of the worst recruiting known to man
Mick deep down will be aware of this
He isn't about to come out in the media and say "thank @#$%&! Swanny and Sticks are gone"

Mick is playing Robbo as a fwd now which is a sensible move
His ferocity and defensive pressure inside F50 are his best traits
Keep the ball in there
His turnovers, which are inevitable will hurt us less up there
In midfield he is a liability

Mick has done the impossible and found two key defenders out of the rubbish
He has seen something in Everitt and hit the nail on the head Everitt has been a revelation his run and versatility and ability to tag then run off have been a highlight for us

Mick has turned Yarran into a serious player

He's empowered good kids like Bucks and Menzel

Warnock is getting there, has improved

Mick is not a shaman
He can't turn every player into gold
Players like Waite it would appear just don't get it

Can't make Lucas a hard player who uses it well

But Mick has done what he can and from here we need better kids from a good recruiter
