More than happy for a challenge to the board to take place in the off-season, particularly if it is led by someone like Trainor who to my limited knowledge at least seems to have some business sense (and is still listed as Vice President on our website, CFC comms department on the ball as usual). But I'd rather it not happen now to further derail what is already turning out to be an ordinary season at best.

It's one thing to say "Get this guy in", but I'd much rather get behind someone who has made the effort and forged the connections to put together a whole ticket and a proper plan to move forward (none of this "three flags by 2020" or "put the arrogance back into Carlton" bollocks). McGuire didn't do it by himself at Collingwood, he put a team together. We need someone to do the same.

If you think Trainor is going to run a ticket to take the Presidency, your dreaming mate...

Not saying he will, or that he'd even be the best person to do it. Just saying that I'd like SOMEONE to. As long as the current board goes unchallenged, change won't come.

I know it's commonplace these days, but I find something inherently wrong that people in high places at the club (and others) squawk to gossip rags before anyone else.

Mark Lo Giudice will be an efffective and astute President he has the passion , professionalism and importantly the consensus .
There will be significant changes we all know that so let's just chill until June events are done .

Mark will be to Carlton what Andrew Newbold is to Hawthorn. It's all good. Nothing to worry about...he'll be given a fair go for a few months...might even announce a move to the MCG before the AGM. We already know we'll see a significant decrease in board members.

With all due respect Doc, Andrew Newbold took over the Presidency of a club that was humming along pretty smoothly. Our club is a stark contrast to the Hawthorn Football Club.

Sticks has my utmost and everlasting respect.

As a player.

As a president, he's done nothing, achieved nothing, and hasn't moved the club forward one iota. So, no, he doesn't just deserve blind unquestioning respect.

With all due respect woof - half a dozen significant changes and our club will be humming along pretty smoothly. Within 12 months our club needn't be in stark contrast to the Hawthorn Football Club. Lots of challenges to come, but change is coming and I'm prepared to be 'glass half full' about it.

SACK ALL CLUB STAFF
SACK ALL COMMITTEE MEMBERS
TRADE ALL PLAYERS (EXCEPT HENDO AND KIDS)
RETROSPECTIVELY DRAFT PLAYERS WE SHOULD HAVE DRAFTED (I.E MURDOCH)
WIN PREMIERSHIP

I've only got 5 significant changes. What's the other one?

Due respect for Sticks, who although he wasn't a very good president or administrator, at least was our third best captain of the past 40 years and our third best CHF.

And to give him his due, and show his versatility, he was also our third best FF of the past 40 years, and probably our 4th best ever.

Deserved to be on the IC bench in our Team of the 20th Century too. Yay Sticks!!

1. Pratt exodus from board (but not Carlton)
2. Reduce board numbers (replacing Gleeson with Silvagni)
3. Properly restructure football department (and list management executive)
4. Properly restructure recruiting department (post-draft)
5. Increase spend on development
6. Increase better engagement and incentive re: members

....ok there are a few more - but with that we'll be on the right track.
