Agreed with the comments in respect of Swan and Kenny. Great Carlton people, who are doing what they believe best suits the club. No egos with those two champions. Thanks to them both.

Wasn't Grollo supposed to be one of Gratton's alledged supporters?

Thanks and congratulations to Ken and Swan. To people of enormous character, integrity and blue to their bones. You have served the club well, and as you have done many times in the past, made the right decision at the right time. Some of your co-directors could learn fom you.

The decision as to who we replace these great men with is the most important one the club will make for the rest of this decade. We must find ourselves two people with the ability, passion and time to lead this club. People who can throw themselves into the fray from day one and learn from Collo and take us to our rightful future.

As I have stated before Collo is intent (as he leaked to Caro) on getting a big name - almost for the sake of getting a big name. This strategy can go very right if we choose the right person, but it can also go very very wrong. Remember that the Grollo family have had very little to do with the football club in the past - even though they have been given heaps of opportunity. Not coterie members, not sponsors, not inner sanctum members, not attendees at club functions. They have stated their support for Carlton as their team, but never backed it up.

Over the past 2 years the club has actively courted Daniel's involvement. He and his wife have been guests at match days and Collo wants him. My concern is that if he has not been passionate about Carlton up until now, why would we want him on our board. Just because he has a business profile? Yes we need great people on the board. Yes we need succesful people on the board, but we also need people with a real passion for this club, people who have demonstrated this by their involvement over time - even if just as a coterie member. Why - because we need leaders who will not just turn up and do the job - but will make it their number 1 priority to leave no stone unturned to get this club back where it belongs.

We the people of Carlton, deserve no less.

I am yet to be convinced that either Daniel or Armad have the burning passion for this club that is required to fight the fight that must be fought. And I am am concerned about Collo's ablity to make the right decision on his sucessor.

Thank you Ken & David for your invaluable assistant to the club over the years. Much appreciated.

I hear Ken & Mandy are off to Asia for a well-earned holiday.

Thanks Kenny and Swan for all your hard work for the club. Swan was on SEN this morning and sounded upbeat about the future. He believes that things are turning around and echoed the thoughts in Caro's article that Collo is looking to move on sooner rather than later.

Two legendary players who proved themselves to be legendary clubmen for being prepared to put their reputations on the line to save our club.

Thanks for all your efforts guys.

Good luck to the boys - got on board and did the job when needed.

Now, more importantly, good to see Synbad back. Jeeez it was going to be a boring summer without his colourful input.

Good to see that Collo is looking at someone from the outside to be his successor.

How about Stephen Gough?

Anti leaving Optus more than a Grattan supporter, and with next year's fixture it's a shame he wasn't on the board earlier

Kenny Hunter and the Swan.

One a bag of bones that goes forward when needed to save the day and the other who though as a radioman makes a great CHF was as gracefull then as he is now in his departure. Champions both on and off the field, a credit to themselves and to the club.
