Just read the article. Good news on both accounts. Gibbs staying for reasonable dollars and a potential board shake up. No idea why Robbo thinks the board shake up is bad news. I'd love it to happen. Especially if it took Mathieson out of the picture.

I'm not sure either side is wearing white hats.

I have no deep knowledge of the running of the club. Is there a chance that the billionaires have been protecting the club (and saving their own reputations) by propping it up and that a fallout within the board may reveal that we are in deeper strife than we thought? I assumed the finances were professionally transparent but the more it looks like boys club, the less I am confident....any reassurances?

So the Mathiesons and the Pratts dont run the club?

And Sticks was president???

Not siding with Matheison at all, but Pratt, Geminder and Freid definitely need to get on their bikes and ride off into the sunset.

Whatever the case the place needs a bloody good shake up. I am sick of factions, ego's and money being put ahead of what's best for the club.

As far as I'm concerned Pratt, Mathieson etc can all piss off. The culture issues and lack of harmony is costing us more money and possible success than they can ever bring. Seriously WTF does J.Pratt know about running a football club?

The whole board should go, most of them have been around for a period where we have been a disaster. It's time for a free and clear election and for us to start again.

It seems so easy in theory. Reduce the board from the ridiculous situation of 12 down to 6 or 7.

If pratt and matheison all pissed off, where would our money come from? Would we be financial? B'cos the way I see it we are only a Pratt and/or Mathieson ahead of north melbourne and footscray -- financially speaking.

Wouldn't we need at least one to stay?

As bad as things may seem, we will never sink to those depths of despair again.

This is a good thing.
A broom through the bloated board should has been warranted for ages, but resisted by Sticks.

Look, if they chose to act like babies and pull their sponsorships if they're voted off the board, then that would show the crap caliber of these people.

So Pratt or Mathieson?

Don't blame me, I voted for Kodos.

Exactly psych

On Gibbs I feel that his original asking price was too high according to the SA teams and that is the main reason he is closer to signing.

I would piss him off as well get I good pick in the draft.
It not just at board level we need to start again
The playing list as well

If we lose tonight get ready for excuse after excuse

We really need to call their bluff.

They are not saviors, just people who have gained control of the club without having to pay market price.

The outcome would be we either make it work or don't, if we don't that means we have to either merge, relocate or fold.

Personally, given the choice between maintaining the status quo or taking the (small) risk of losing it all, I'll take the latter.
