Let's say the rumour is true: can I get a SWOT of the appointment of AA?

I'll kick off with what I (think I) know ...

STRENGTHS - close to the AFL executive / handy at making rules / C-level experience / Legal experience
WEAKNESSES - not a popular man / funny voice / no experience as club CEO*
OPPORTUNITIES - probably make us popular with AFL House / Might uncover skeletons in the organisation
THREATS - Might uncover skeletons in the organisation

*Pretty sure that's true

nonsense,

It was purely Andy (Essendons the victim) Maher and Andrew Gaze opining they thought Chester would be a good fit for the Blues or Lions.

If however, it did eventuate, I think that would be the final nail in Agros coffin

The problem we have is that Harford sounded confident it will happen.

Andy McKay is a very astute and intelligent individual and I for one would be more than happy for him to be our new CEO.
He isn't given enough credit in here, but then again pretty sure that means squat to him or anyone else that matters.

ps. GO the 1995 Premiership team!

They'd certainly give our 2014 team a run for their money, but it would be close run thing, as most of them are on the wrong side of 40 now.

1995 team would win Agro. They knew how to win, had the Carlton culture installed in them and left nothing behind in order to get there. Unfortunately that all went out the window when we tried to be smart and started tanking. You see we thought it would just work out if we got all these no.1 picks and didn't need to do any further work to make it happen......unfortunately we now finally understand (I hope we do) what it is to have a culture and keep it!

Surrey - I understand the love for the 1995 team but you have to separate what they did on the football field to now. Every one of them has been a disaster for Carlton post-retirement.

McKay is really intelligent. Do I correctly remember instead of playing footy, he could have gone and done a doctorate overseas at a really exclusive uni like oxford or something?

I remember Sandy Roberts telling us while we were smacking the Brisbane Bears by a thousand goals ...

I'd love us to get Adrian Anderson.
Why?
He's very astute.
He might be the one to take a razor and slice where needed.
I guess some supporters might have thoughts of slicing their memberships, but hey..
can't please everyone anyone right now.

Well, it would mean we would get a new football operations manager at least.

Yeah, probably got Hughes lined up for that one.
