I'm not sure I can watch one more game that Watson partakes in ...

My bench would be:

David Ellard, Jeff Garlett, Dennis Armfield
sub: Heath Scotland

yeah that's a not bad bench. Plenty of pace and scotland is the perfect sub.

Agree with that, assuming no further injuries (ie Yarran).

Except the sub will probably be Menzel, but yeah.

Baffled, no Graham or Cripps. If Cripps was good enough to get selection after his 1st Northen game when he was BOG why doesn't he get picked this week when he was just as good last week? How many times does Graham have to notch up 30 touches a at Northern before he is given an extended run in the seniors? Armfield, Catchia, Ellard are not the future or the present, ditto Mclean and I'm being generous not adding others :banghead: :banghead:

There's just not much to get excited about at the moment. Same Old shuffle . I know we don't have much, but I would Like to find out about that " much", however small.

I'm getting that " 1-2 weeks " feeling about Waite again too.

So I gather we shouldn't hold our breath waiting for an explanation on why Bell was played last week.

So Cripps in and Docherty out.

If Bell is over his 4 week finger injury I'd keep him for his size and endurance in the midfield.
He's the only one who is going to hit the Saints mids hard. Kreuzer is out and cant barge through packs.

McLean isn't the future. Neither is Carrazzo, but I couldnt see the VC being left out if fit. He takes McLeans spot in the guts.
Bell stays in the team if finger is ok.

Waite comes in, which means big hearted White or Rowe will be dropped. Maybe MM was saving them from a fall with his praise this week.

Yarran would come in for Lucas.

Not sure why Docherty should miss. Looks the goods to me.

And White was probably our best last week.

I agree with your opinions, but I was thinking how Waite could fit in....we'd be too tall if we kept all of them and imo we need ruck relief for Warnock so Casboult would stay. Rowe and White have been good defenders, well Rowe has been OK on the bigger bodies, but he's be a liability in the forwardline changing ruck...imo.

I just dont want to lose against the Aints. Please dont let it happen. May the best 22 be selected.

I also liked what I saw of Docherty too.

Just saw the teams

How the hell did Bell get selected last week and not this week :screwy:
He shouldnt have been selected last week after a fresh op on the finger imo. :screwy:

Cripps missing out is a huge surprise and after his effort should be rewarded.
I thought Watson got injured last week. He wont be selected in a rather tall team as it is.

Can see why they'd want to see Armfield play...he's got to have a go at some stage...plus we need pace.

Waite  What's wrong with him...I guess I shouldnt be surprised. FMD just cant depend on him.

Reckon Garlett is another to be lucky to be playing too...need his pace and him in form.

cripps is a liabiity till he can run out a game

graham is slow and with mclean will expose us in the midde of the park so much it would be a hot knife through butter if they attacked that area

plus he needs to hold his feet in contests
he chses the ball with an opponent and then he gets their second and falls to ground...not holding feet is actually something that is the norm for us.

but these guys need to learn to stay on their feet

A little disappointed to see Cripps and Graham missing, especially considering the latter has been in fairly good form consistently for the NB and the former was best on last week.

All the more reason for you Melbournians to get down to the 2nds this weekend, I suppose.

I was critical of the selection last Friday, but on first impressions (above omissions notwithstanding) it seems ok.

I do agree, but their performances have been pretty encouraging, so it's disappointing to see that not rewarded.

On Graham, he appears to have worked on his skills so to offset his lack of pace. If you can find the ball and use it well you don't need to be overly quick. That seems to be what he's giving the 2s recently.

depends who youre playing
also what role will a player do?
bring in graham and cripps for what? extra pace or inside work?
graham on who and cripps on lenny?

or do people have a straight face that cripps will play forward?
they will blow him up in 5 minutes

bam bam needs to find a tank before he can seriously be considered for this game

Where else does one prove they're ready to be selected?

If it means nothing therefore we should have an unchanged line-up then every week barring injuries.

do u get casboult to play for the bullants for cripps?
i mean where do these blokes fit in just on the back of losing to the worst team in the comp last week besides ours
armfield u know why he will come straight in

Cripps is off the pace
That's why he's not in
Love the arm chair critics who go with the popular kid irrespective of whether they actually deserve a game
