Nah, its club policy for the boys to not mix with supporters.
Or sign footys etc

Shane-O does what hes told.. wouldnt blame him for formulating club policy.
Though he has a better record for recruiting than Hughes.

Was Swann responsible for Hughes coming to the club?

Do you think this is the reason that he is stepping down to form his own ticket?

So should we just accept the fact we are going to mediocre for a very long time still?

How many signatures does it take to spill the Board, or call an EGM? Can't remember how it works.

One question is whether the Board has any idea how many members are disenchanted with them, and Kernahan. And the fact that we have little say in most of the people who get put on. Is it time for the members to start rumbling?

kernahan was a goat... they dragged him to the alter and slit his throat in sacrifice to show theyre changing the face of the club even though things will be the same

swann is the swan sacrifice.. the same fate awaits him really soon
and i reckon rogers will be gone too...unless he has a contract...

the problem is the new ceo and the new president need to survive in the culture .. which means they might be a new face .. but theres nothing new to see here...

the place needs a broom from top to bottom

100 but you need an alternative ticket

no point just spilling the board

The thing is with Sticks and his mates.... one thing they can never run away from is this...

The club had its superpower status confirmed in disappearing...

They need to face up to it....

Its confirmed.. no matter what they say .... they did it!!... we were on the brink for a while and they gave the club a shove off the cliff

just with all these side businesses for players with board directors.. i reckon this club has not ome to terms with the salary cap.. so instead of paying them under the table these days we go into business with them or make them ambassadors

dont worry theyre all average and were choka block in the salary cap

and then there is the drafting / recruiting and development / list management .. that this cub has no idea about as proven

this really illustrates how out of touch this club has been as an AFL club...

overpaying underperforming players
and then recruiting and poor developing

the two things that have killed carlton are:

1. salary cap
2. the draft

we just simply have not adapted to these two conditions.....

There are a few things putting us the sword but definitely we arent a smart club when it comes to those two things.
There is something really archaic in a sick old man sense about this club

Chequebook stuff and no hard work...

...and therefore List Management is manipulated by those players we've got rather than improving on them.

The current Carlton is not the Carlton players played for in the 60's 70's 80's and 90's.
Unity out on the field playing for the jumper. It was aprivelege to wear the Carlton jumper..the Dark Navy Blue one pre 1996

It was people involved in the post 1995 Carlton who have hurt this club and I bet they probably didnt intend to do so.
Cant hide from the past mistakes though. Parkin overrated the list and 1999 turned out to be lucky one for us: A Grand Final.
The laws of the finals series changed after that. We arsed it. 2000 was the year Kouta did his knee in the final and the rest is history.

3. overrated the list

u can go back and see stupidity in what we were doing

i remember around 97 frazer brown was offered money to go to the lions.. and he was already finished up as a footballer.. and we paid him overs to keep him instead of letting him go and take the draft pick

he was washed up at this point .... but that didnt stop us with our "Crlton players never leave carlton " mantra

still happening (except eddie)
