If youre not and you have never been blessed with special powers.. no need for you to concentrate Surrey....not on that...

Damn, being a positive thread, I was kind of hoping you wouldn't be in here.

the linings are never just silver....they are majestical and magnificent but never just silver

That's not what David Essex told me.

Yes, one or the great philosophers of modern times...

Reminds me of a quote by a female contemporary philosopher and great thinker

"Love is a battle field" (Pat Benatar)

8 Goals in a quarter against one of the leagues best.

How about Robbo's big screamer !!

The 8 were the equivalent of junk time goals. Game was as good as over.

I'll consider it a plus when we kick those 8 in the first or second quarters.

The silver lining is if the Afl bring in the zone rules Sheedy was talking about to open up the game we will be all set with the current list.

Hang in there Strangelove. No trades or delistings. Wait for the stars to align.

we have relied on scotland and judd and betts etc and they either arent there or slipped

the game is changing also

the hard running teams are surging.

the game has changed so much in the last six years

wjat teams wwre doing six years ago is no longer anywhere near enough

teams swarm forward and back

I know other teams improve, but my point is that we should have improved from last year also with those 5 players who run hard both ways. Scotland hasn't really slipped on last year (it was last year his output decreased), betts didn't have the tank and you keep telling us Judd was rubbish last year. With improvement in Yarran, Rowe and a fit Murphy we should be better than last year and we are far from it, even though we have improved our best 22 considerably.

There is no silver lining. That is the most positive thing that anyone could say. Everything else just gives hope, and IMO, hope is the enemy of the CFC.

My thoughts exactly, the more we try to squeeze blood from a stone the more the rot lingers (sorry if that's a mixed metaphor).

Should be's, could be's... there's a whole wealth of reasons why we are sh*t this year and you are going to have to look much further back than the last off-season.

We only played 3 quarters that day, that's why it was so close in the end....

Great choreography by the boys...

Thanks Captain Obvious
The point is that with the players we have brought in we should have improved - we haven't due to other factors! Didn't I write it obtusely enough for you to crawl up your own arse when answering?

We know what you are like Rhino, you're one of those people that always blames the other person when you don't understand something. It doesn't matter if you might actually agree with them. You'd probably treat your enemies better than your friends if they sunk to your level.

Well, if I'm being Captain Obvious then why did you pose the question in the first place? It's futile trying to make sense of the last few seasons.

Paf -

1) Who's "we"? Other than your sister.

2) Who else do I not understand? Being the educated person you profess to be, please show me instances where I've struggled to understand what other posters are trying to say.

3) Have you not noticed that practically no-one on this site understands what you're trying to say, effectively ever? It's not just me. Posters constantly point out that you're talking waffle. That you're not some frustrated genius trying to get through to the rank and file of society. You're a blithering pseudo-intellectual idiot with no more of an idea of what you're saying than the bemused poor bastards trying to read it. Moshe, Cazzesman, Blue Vain, DocSherrin, now Showbag.....you've tried to debate concepts of a wide variety of topics, and failed miserably time and time again at generating a response above "...huh?" from any of them.

Just give up.

Yes it was very unlike mercury to miss from 25 m out.

And very unlike, Dean Wallis to think he was Andrew McLeod or Gary Ablett senior and try to win th game off his own boot.

From what I hear, during that 3rd quarter where the bombers got on top, some of their players got a little disrespectful and cocky with one or two of our senior players (esp when Bradley, SOS made some skill errors that resulted in a goal).

Some rather nasty personal things were said by a couple of the cheating bombers.

This was spoken about at 3/4 time amongst some of the players.

The final quarter produced a very appropriate ending to the final.

I didn't. I made a statement
or if you prefer - the probe that was said to be posed was indeed only a proclamation of which there wasn't to be an expected answer by the throng.
