I'm quite excited. Not convinced old Strangelove is up to it, but young Menzel definitely is. And Buckley. And Cripps is a level above reserves standard, as is Graham. And Blaine looks to have some potential.

Got to think bigger picture. Malthouse won't be around forever, Carlton will!

8 Goals in a quarter against one of the leagues best.

How about Robbo's big screamer !!

The 8 were the equivalent of junk time goals. Game was as good as over.

I'll consider it a plus when we kick those 8 in the first or second quarters.

If he can get his ankle right, he will be great! Prepared to give him half the season:

A great day to be a member of the club I've followed all my life and celebrating their 150th year this year. They kicked 8 goals in the last quarter and defeated Collingwood! What a win! One of the best I've seen...

If youre not and you have never been blessed with special powers.. no need for you to concentrate Surrey....not on that...

....there can be nothing more positive than the truth, or at least the attempt of attaining the truth.

Manufactured positivity creating a veneer of superficiality and a spiritual existence of triviality and self importance leads to a life long romance with negativity and regressive inwardness...certain madness and the erection of a house of cards founded upon non self fulfilment and resentment

the linings are never just silver....they are majestical and magnificent but never just silver

Sorry , forgot this was supposed to be positive

Yarran seems to have matured and seems to move/adjust from HB to wing to HF with ease these days

Holman surprised me yesterday, first time seen the kid and be looks really good IMO

Curnow has become an elite tagger and his work ethic on the track sets a standard

That's not what David Essex told me.

Only little over 6 months to draft
Are not wasting my time on the weekend or Monday reading about Carlton in the newspapers
Season almost 25 percent done
No need to buy finals tickets in September
Can spend the next 6 months in talking recruitment
Positives aplenty

I don't understand how we have been able to add the talent of Daisy, Everitt, Docherty, Buckley and a fitter Menzel to our side and still be playing worse football. Well done Carlton!

Our losses are our silver lining. Not because of the early draft picks but because this organisation needs to be exposed and embarrassed so humiliatingly that some semblance of a ground zero change strategy/vision is acted upon.

As M25 said earlier, any little 'surprise wins' along the way feed us false hope. I don't want that hope. i want us pared back to an open wound for the football world to see and pass judgement on.

There is nothing in the ressies, virtually nothing at all. It's going to be a slow 3-5 year rebuild even if all the planets align.

Couldn't agree more

Exactly
The club is up shit creek until the Mathiesons and Pratts are gone and a better board is in place
At the moment I follow footy more than follow Carlton
