I would bring Docherty in as the replacement for more run.

Put the onus on Casboult to be the lead up target at CHF.

Swing Rowe up forward if needed and go smaller in defence, Jamo on Cloke, White on White and Walker on Goldsack.

If our players have any "balls" they have to put it on themselves to find a way to win.

Don't serve up that Essendon* game tripe again.

Casboult will kick 5 with a slippery ball

That's why I wanted him way up the ground as the lead up CHF, as far away from the goals as possible.

Casboult was quite good in his role last week.

I think we have the balance right to take on the pies - although Yarrans run and carry and disposal would have been very handy.

But then again the way MM sets up his teams with well defined individual roles and well structured overall game plan, new players coming in should slide right into the game style. That's what occurred at Collingwood when he had them up and running and peaking in 2010 and 2011.

Mick McGuane had a disastrous three-game career with the Blues post-Collingwood. He now makes light of it. "You taught me the Broady way," he says to McGuire. "You said, go and rob them. I did: 70 grand a game."

So Yarran and now Waite. Big, big outs. Was thinking we might be a sneaky chance but don't think so now.

As I have been saying the past few weeks, bring work rate, intensity and collective effort and we give ourselves a chance.

disappointing that our outs always get leaked early. Or is this the usual time?

Mick McGuane can make light of his time at Carlton if he likes, but I wouldn't make jokes about turning up drunk to training.

Pies aren't that much better, but when up and winning it's work rate that becomes elite, not their talent.. ..work rates improves everyone, not enough and you're spuds..

I'm tipping talent might help improve everyone as well.

Good news

Missing Judd Yarran Bell Curnow Ellard from the midfield and talls Waite and Kreuzer means we have nearly a third of our best players out.

Maybe just maybe...with the help of Camporale, Bradley and Hulme on a big Friday night......we need all the luck we can get.

Tuohy & Bucks to Blair & Elliott

I'd start with Rowe on Cloke and Jamo on White as White appears to be doing more leads up the ground. Cloke doing a lot of one on one allowing third man ups.

Carrots to Swan

Gibbs head to head with pendlebury

Toovey our is a big plus for us but Yarran out is massive plus for them.
