Going to get my apologies in early, I'm bringing Mrs Navy to the game with me tonight who has somehow jinxed us since we got married! She's only been with me to Geelong 11 (thanks Knockers!!) and the 2nd Essendon* game last year (thanks all the players really!!). Before that we had a serious winning streak going on while watching Carlton together so fingers crossed the boys can get up tonight!

First Carlton v Filth game I got to was in 09 when I got here, wasn't the belting we gave them at the start of the year either! Oh no I got to enjoy the majesty of 4.16 being kicked that night with 2 of the goals coming in junk time!

Cmon Blueboys this is a big one, a real 8 pointer, we have some momentum and will have a crowd just dying to get behind you tonight!!

Funny how we were "desperate" playing Judd off a limited preparation, no such issue with Marley apparently.

Completely different. He's younger for starters andd is not coming off an injury or operation. As far as I can tell he has pretty much done the complete pre-season.

Match fitness is his problem. Will either be sub or get subbed I reckon.

We'd have to be one of the few teams where if there's speculation that someone COULD be out, they're almost guaranteed to be out.

If watson plays, he's more help to collingwood than he is us, so I'd expect an 8 goal drubbing.

Leaving for the game soon. My thoughts.

We are a sneaky chance, weather won't help us as it's cold a wet but MCG will probably be okay. Again it's all about effort. I want to see us take them on and work hard in offence an defence alike.

Rowe will get Cloke & Jamo on White. Although you will see them swap a lot. Elliott needs to be sat on.

MacCaffer on Murphy is a concern for us. Murphy has been awesome the last two weeks. They will target him. Murphy needs his teammates to help out with blokes and pressure. Could easily decide the match.

Pies have more class and midfield run than us and that's where it will be won. We need to consistently put pressure on the ball carrier and in our defensive structures. Advantage we have is in the ruck. Warnock/Casboult could do well even though I rate Grundy/Witts as a very good upcoming pair.

Need to watch Swan and Sidebottom pushing forward and Pendlebury is always a concern. Can't let Maxwell loose and we should play a defensive forward on him. Maybe Robbo?

Hope its a good game and we throw everything at them and keep that play on style we have shown over the past two weeks.
