So you would dump our best backline player who can play on gorillas when the opposition has two of them
And you want to add a lumbering ruckmen in when we want to run run run
And you would dump a player who can actually take a contested mark
You would bring in a guy who can't kick
Then you bring in another guy who can't kick
And you drop a guy that can kick

OK I see your point.

For a ruckman/KPF Casboult has done......well..........not too well. One goal total and an average of less than 5 HO per game.

I like a pack mark as much as the next fella, but I think it's time.
14 touches, 9 marks, seemed he did a reasonable job last week.

Taking 6 x 10yo's for my son's b'day. Bought tickets weeks ago (probably on a sunny day) and opted for ground level.

Why drop Casboult????? Her needs games, & Touhey??? Ok he is struggling a bit but by joe he has a crack, & the opposition knows when he is around...
Play him through the middle to help create our own swarm....

I reckon our changes will be minimal. Hopefully carrotts and Yarran come up trumps and in that case I'd drop robbo for carrots. If yarran is out, bring in armfield to pick up a bit of the run and carry bit.

I'd be rapted for Robinson to stay in, myself. Through no research, empirical data, nor evidence of my own, I suggest the conditions will suit him perfectly. I hope.

Yarran out for Armfield will be it with Carrazzo too tender for the slippy sloppy, in my op... sorry ... IMO.

I try not to focus too much on stats. They can be rotten liars. I like Casboult for some instances, but at the G against the Poos, on a wet and slippery night I'd rather play the %ers. Levi struggled in doors on a warm night in complete dryness with a home crowd advantage.

Just my opinion and I'm almost always wrong  .

Yep, perfect weather to bring in Armfield. Don't bother with Carazzo, and make sure Yarran is 100%

This whole 'Thommo' issue is working to our advantage. He's a big boy and knows what it's like playing under pressure. I hope the pies focus on him all night. He'll have a blinder and we'll knock em off.

Bell was listed as an emergency. Could his finger possibly heal that quickly, or are we playing around?

We'd be mad to list him if he's no chance. Maybe they'll give him right up to the last minute to see how it feels. Having the experience of Toovey out is good for us.

That's their deal isn't it, and the wait?? Expect someone to not pull up well from training. Surprised Cachia or Army aren't on the emergencies list.

I also think the best footy we've played for the last decade was while we went 'short' in the backline, with Jamison at FB and Laidler as the undersized CHB. On paper it always looked like we'd be out muscled in the air, but ultimately the extra run meant their midfielders were under pressure in their delivery, while midfielders were able to roll back to stop the 1v1. I'd like to see that approach trial again.

Laidler's in Sydney colours now. Are you saying we should have kept him (don't go there)?
