Just a bunch of prima donnas that can't go a full four quarters.

And that's just those of us in the match thread.

Liking Casboults ability to take contested marks around the ground i know his kicking for goal is shocking but i think we need to perservere with him. I love Krooz but i think i prefer Casboult as Warnocks back up. Warnock in this form is our no1 ruck by a long way.
Great win blues!!!!

Fair enough to point out mistakes from the game.

We got the points and we can reflect.

Said it before the game that Gibbsy is a tough SOB.
He was fantastic for 95% of the game like all great footballers are.

Gibbs Murphy McLean Simpson, Yarran midfield was pretty good tonight.
It's the turnovers that hurt. We give it away too easy.

I watched him closely tonight very lazy footballer, did cost us those 2 goals when we had momentum and tried two across the body snaps, the second hit the post but he had time and options to kick the goal but did neither.
In the last he watched Proddis jump up and attack the ball on our attackin 50, while he waited to tackle, an instinctive footballer would have attacked the ball in the air! The crowd around me were giving to him every time he came to the bench.
I think he is better suited as a defender when he can see the play unfold, not a natural mid.

Mick was poor again today. We made some wrong positional changes and tactics whence got those two lhandy leads in the 1st and 2nd quarters.

Simpson as a rookie coach clearly took the points today in the box.

If the eagles hadn't kicked 1 goal 8 behinds in the final quarter whilst we nailed our chances it would have been a comfortable eagles win away from home. And they hit the post twice in the dying minutes.

Just because we win doesn't mean the coach has reformed well. And he reverse is true as well.

I was a bit dissociated in MM today

Cretylus, I thought you were an intelligent man. I had no idea you were at such a Verbs-esque level of intellectual pygmyism.

I am lost for words.

No one has mentioned that Yarran was just about BOG in the first half; and when we lost him to injury, I thought we were gone for all money....the ''old'' Carlton would've been.

Someone has mentioned that, but you can be the second. I agree he looked a more hardened complete footballer scrambling in the defensive 50, plus his flair. An MM win here

...and we have the Poos this week who will be suffering 'blockbuster-itis'.

Buckley (SOJ) - Gun!
Menzel - Double barrel

Finally - two kids that have an immediate impact in big situations.

If we could just cut out the stupid mistakes and poor decision making we'd be top 4 material. No wonder the boys got buggered early. They have to work twice as hard for everything.

Hats off to Rowe and White today, gutsy effort by both boys who are old school types but made it tough for their opponents all day

Yeah i think you're right. We make easy things look hard. Maybe it's confidence? Some of our C graders are just that and it hurts. Top 4 sides don't have any C graders.

Obviously a balanced non biased opinion here, just like your previous insights into warnocks game

Has anyone noticed Yarran quietly turning into a very good footballer?

It's his work without the ball that's suddenly impressing this year. Chasing, tackling, closing down options. And when he gets the ball he's as exciting as ever. Several goals came out of his creativity through the middle tonight. Up there in the best for the 1st half if you ask me. Hope the injury is nothing serious because he needs to keep this form momentum going.

Also wanted to give some props to Rowe, who stood up and played his role of killing the contest very well tonight. Good on you son. However, it really stood out being at the game how terrified he is to have the ball kicked to him. It was obvious a few times he was trying to hide as opposed to create an option coming out of defence. This made the switch hard to execute when it might have been on, and forced long kicks down the line instead. It's probably just a confidence thing, but if he can get that right there may be another year or two in blue to come for Rowe

Yep,agree with that.Yarran is obviously a massive talent, and a giant tease at the same time. The most infuriating player on our list for mine. But he finally seems to be getting it.He is working hard when he aint got the aggott which you couldnt say up until this year.Reckon Yazz is really trying hard and full credit to him................and as far as Sam Rowe goes,he has improved out of sight.Never met the bloke, but i got a hunch like Ellard and Curnow he would be a guy of impecable character.Dont make you a footballer, but seems a teriffic sort of a bloke.Reckon when them big blokes stand up you look a whole lot better as a side. And a special mention to big Levi.A brute of a man who is slowly becoming a very valuable footballer.................and another special mention to the two old bloke Heater and Brock.Reckon there steadyness in the crisis was invaluable. They will both be gone soon, but if the young blokes around them dont tune in to there words of wizdom then i reckon they have got rocks in there head,Yes im talking to you Mitch Robinson.Good game Mitch, but you really need to calm down and have a look.Cant qquestion your attack on the pill Mitch but ya gotta have more strings to your bow.I actually reckon Mitch could turn into a top notch midfielder with a bit of nous.If i was Mick Malthouse i would assign him to Heath Scotland and give him strict instructions to follow the old blokes instructions to the letter.Mitch aint smart enough to figure it out himself or talented enough for it just happen...............................all in all a great fighting win against the odds.................and yyes,we can cause another boilover and knock off the Pies.

Kind of ironic that we were smashed in "junk" time in the first three quarters and we pinched it in the last during the same period

Great win -gutsy and full of effort
Captain excellent tonight
Agree about big knockers thought he was very good
Casboult is an enigma and good disposer of the ball around the ground and a strong mark but kicking for goal
Once again Buckley and Menzel MUST play every game they can this year great to see them pivotal to last quarter comeback
Still believe Lucas is improving and needs game time
To be fair simon white and Rowe stuck to the task and did well
Simpson again was inspirational
Jamison is a class player and really has played well this year -did well given the inexperienced defence around him
Still wondering why it took until round 5 and 6 to show that heart but anyway we need more talent
Good win without Judd Kreuzer carrazzo bell Curnow ellard

That a load of bullshit

The side had 6 compulsory changes from last week. All players who play a role through the midfield. The whole coaching group had to readjust positions for those replacing the missing and adjust roles and counter what the Eagles developed after the first quarter.

Solid display by the group
