The Mick knockers need to eat some humble pie.
Waite, Garlett, McLean have all been dropped and when recalled have performed much much better.
And Bucks and Menzel with the last two goals #thefuture

Indications were they were cooked! But they fought back - good on 'em!

We left with 15 to go 'cause I smelled what we'd been cooking and it seemed done. Doh ! Go blues, great effort.

Everyone put in, can't fault that. Just went into our shells in the third. Then....well I'll have to watch the replay!

Centre breaks just in eagles favour. We did win the clearances and stoppages.

Contested ball about even this week.

But tackle count was 71 to 46 in our favour.

Have the players worked it out yet?

..yep some are figuring it out.. ....work rate, desperation.. ..repeat efforts..

That win was worth 3 wins to this team in the current circumstances, well bloody done boys!

They kept on :fight: until they got themselves in a position to win. For confidence building and team trust, this is bloody HUGE!

Make no mistake the boys will be pumped after this win. THIS one meant a LOT!

Good old fashioned tussle. We hit hard early, they came back hard. We scrap it out, pure guts and determination and pull a very memorable win out of a looming disaster. Had we lost today, last week against the Bulldogs wouldn't have counted for much in the hearts and minds of our squad. THIS was the win we needed. THIS is proof positive what effort brings.

I'm feeling that good old Carlton pride beginning to swell in my chest again. Gonna be walking tall all week

Verbs, we're you at the match? It's nothing to do with coach. They lose confidence, they stop taking the first option, they prop, presto they bomb. That's not planned.

Okay.................I have been dared by a TC poster (no not Mrs Caz)

BEST RECRUITING....................EVA!!!!!!

Seriously at the 10 min mark of the 4th I thought we were the sausage on the BBQ...........'Put a fork in us, we're done'.
I thought the petrol tank was empty and the fumes were all but dissipated. The 6 day break after a grueling, fast paced previous game had drained the legs. But no, something happened and all of a sudden we got a 5th wind and a sniff from Jeffy.

the last 15 mins was a stunning turn around.

Kudos to Jamo, White and Walker who were magnificent. 206 was just barely standing at the end but he also backed up from last week against the best opposition in the AFL.

And the cherry on top was Little Bucks. You can't not love a kid that plays with all heart. :thanks: Very proud of him tonight.

Regards Cazzesman

Some times luck goes your way as it did today. Some times it doesn't, like against Richmond.

We should be 5-1 this year, with a big match against Collingwood. Alas we are 2-4 and pushing shit up hill for the rest of the season.

Two one kick games in the space of 10 minutes meant I required a bit of defillibrating before I was able to post - well done Lions  and Blues.

Our tackles fell right away in the second half. A similar showing next week, we will be pummelled.

Mick was poor again today. We made some wrong positional changes and tactics whence got those two lhandy leads in the 1st and 2nd quarters.

Simpson as a rookie coach clearly took the points today in the box.

If the eagles hadn't kicked 1 goal 8 behinds in the final quarter whilst we nailed our chances it would have been a comfortable eagles win away from home. And they hit the post twice in the dying minutes.

Just because we win doesn't mean the coach has reformed well. And he reverse is true as well.

I was a bit dissociated in MM today

Robbo almost lost it for us when he couldn't kick a 20 m pass to Menzel. They cleared it and almost got a goal.

Also Waite went dwn back in the dating minutes and also stuffed 2 kicks up.

We still have poor kicks in the team under pressure...

Good to see the youngsters Buckley and Menzel nail their goals in he final term

Great win when the game looked done. Bit of kudos for whipping boys White and Rowe. May not have lots of talent but give all they have. Loved Bucks game and great that Menzel and Bucks kicked the clutch goals. And great leaders game again from Murphy.

Gotta agree Caz. Not a stellar game but he applied himself 100% and laid a lot of tackles.

We were fortunate, but you take those wins and hopefully use it to grow as a team.

2 lazy efforts that cost us 2 goals.....

not intense enough generally...

takes the soft outside option at all times...

never breaks the lines.....
