Didn't see it coming either - had the fade out script from round 1 about it. Great effort.

Love the fact that the two goals to ice the game came from Buckley and Menzel.

Finally a couple of youngsters who have hand and foot skills! And a bit of spirit in their games too.

Speaking of skills, Robbo actually seemed to make an effort to look where he was putting the ball tonight instead of just blindly throwing it on the up and under.

Glad to see some of the much maligned players like Mitch and 206 having good games. Wouldn't it be nice if people stop to abuse players who either are coming off a limited preseason (Daisy) or have bad patch of form (Zach who showed enough over 2 seasons). Its OK to critisize but the bile here is so over the top....

+ 1

Lot of negativity on here at times. Let's enjoy the win...

@#$%&! yeah - just back from the game and the noise/excitement in the last few minutes was awesome.

6 team changes, lost yarran early in the 3rd and came back from about 4 goals down. Fantastic win.

Buckley and Menzel should never be subs or dropped - must play for the rest of the year.
Casboult - good to see him taking more marks. One thing that has really stood out to me the past couple of weeks is that he has looked for the quick handball off whenever he has gotten the ball. Wondering whether it is under instruction or a confidence thing. Looked much better near the end when he was kicking it long after marks. Fix his goal kicking and we have a star.
Mclean and Garlett - welcome back - both pivotal in the win

WHERE WAS THIS EFFORT IN THE FIRST 4 ROUNDS!!!

Wow.

Happy to be wrong.....called WC by 6 goals :yikes:

The making of Bucks Jnr ? Certainly is improving all the time. It's in the genes
Menzel confirmed his class. He's just a natural footballer.
Gibbs and Murphy both gave 100%.....and that's all we can ever ask for.
Knockers has been very good the last 2 weeks.
Hopefully Yazz will be ok for next week.

In Mick we trust.

Good thing I didn't go...I would have left early! Wow....great win. Still don't think we're much chop - but with so many runners out - that was the heart we've been looking for. Nice Birthday present for the weekend!

Lucky but I'll take it.

Back to the Bintangs. Go Blues

I don't know if they will serve me any more after some of the noises coming from my Villa! Lol

Might have to buy a knock off Carlton top and wear it back on the plane tomorrow! :)

Some great moments, but Daisy's smoother was something else!

A West Choke of massive proportions.

Still a bit bemused that we won.

Still too much Strangelove bombing in the second half into a swamped forward line.

Maxwell will be licking his lips.

..great heart, still far too open a style for my liking, but they do counter balance it wit huge work rate and urgency and pressure, there is a definite attitude shift in this aspect..

..good game for knockers and not for the usual reasons.. ..had some good taps but overall beaten, no marks, didn't get a massive amount of touches and just two tackles.. ..but he didn't stop working, hustling, and so forth.. ....played with gusto, with heart and effort, and it was this that lifted his game..

There was a fair bit of desperation there I feel. Just the same, it's interesting that the last goal came from a sensational run and carry and pass to a leading player. The long bomb to Garlett in the midst of three was a poor option a few seconds earlier.

Cox and Netanyui smashed us in the tap outs. Kruezer would have been handy today

Centre breaks just in eagles favour. We did win the clearances and stoppages.

Contested ball about even this week.

But tackle count was 71 to 46 in our favour.

Have the players worked it out yet?

Yeah that was terrible, the Garlett three on one bomb.

Just a bunch of prima donnas that can't go a full four quarters.

And that's just those of us in the match thread.
