Good to see the core problem as to why the club is shit in the media although I would prefer it in The Sun because of higher number readers. At least it isn't in The Australian

Is LoGiudice as much as a shoe in as Caro makes out? Or is there any chance it would be someone else? I guess there is no chance fahour gets in?

LoGiudice getting in is not a change in the right direction ... same same ...

We need someone successful, smart, passionate and bloodywell charismatic. This is not MLG package.

Sayers, Tom Elliott, Ahmed - that's the pool to get the right Prez from.

I know nothing about Lo Giudice, don't get why people want Tom Elliott. He represents old Carlton, and family connections. And the guy is a talk radio host, surely we can get someone better than that. There has to be a group of smart connected Carlton people who have no association with anyone who has gone before. We need a credible alternative group of 6 and an election between the two groups. A random group with little in common is what we have. Out with the old and in with the new. The sins of the father and all that but i won 't be voting for a radio hack who's connected to the pres that started the rot.

Fahour is who I really want, and the fact he doesn't really have the backing of either the Pratts or Mathiesons makes him an even better solution.

Yep. And he sounds infinitely better than that Farouh bloke.

Gerry, he was co-founder and managing director of MM&E Capital. Just a "talk show" host?

His first exposure on 3AW was as a Financial markets commentator on Neil Mitchell's show. He was good at that and was even filling in for Mitchell at times.

Tom is his own man and self made. He's bright and worldly and a proud and passionate Blues man. Unlike plenty on that board, he made it on his own steam without playing the inheritance game.

To call him old Carlton sells him seriously short. Like 'ole Jack he's a proud and passionate Blues man, but other than a severe intellect, that's where the similarities end.

IMHO, our Eddie McGuire type Prez is there if we want him enough, hope we're smart enough to grab him.

Obviously Carro is totally unaware of the elite supreme gene pool and sublime intellect contained in the newly formed, restricted membership secretive agenda Young Carlton Professionals think tank.

The new Pharaoh will surely rise from this group.

Tom would need the right mix of people around him though...and I'm not convinced the people that Tom would want around him are necessarily the best people at this point in time for the Carlton Football Club - but I do like Tom and concur with Blues Clues post above.

Tom Elliott would not be acceptable.

Tom Elliott wrote an article today in the HS on why GREED is good.

You have - but it's different constitutional change to what Caro is talking about and it's not something that will affect Carlton. Under the current constitution Carlton can have between 6 and 13 directors.

From my reading Caro has stated "constitutional change " without specifics.

I think a point in Caro's article that was important to get mentioned in the media, is that the rich people on the Board do not contribute near as much to the club as the public thinks. The myth that Carlton does not need money has been very damaging. Caro sums up the issues very well.

So Caro is running the carlton Football club now?

Is she a member?

Perhaps Caro can focus on the supreme integrity, skill and honesty of the board members at the EFC*?
